Materialism is a 'school' of philosophy that teaches that the only thing that exists is matter or energy and everything that exists is made up of them (i.e. gods, spirits, afterlife, hell, heaven...etc don't exist). It is mostly synonymous with physicalism.

You mean a sauna? Here it's very popular and average degrees in which people boil is 90-100 celsius, hardcores go over that. I'm not a fan of it either, but it's supposed to be healthy and it does feel good after coming out and splashing yourself with cold water.
