OneMoSalah 8,886
what harm does a foul literally over the midfield line would have caused us? He should have been firmer... he was the first one to have a chance to stop their attack. I'm not blaming the goal on him, but he could have done a much better job... For someone that people praise for energy, stamina and what not, that was such a lazy attempt to stop Draxler...Perhaps yes but Cesc's mistake starts it, then Ramires' fails to take Draxler out before Ivanovic also fails to get a touch on the ball or even take the man and then Cahill makes the biggest error and isn't anywhere near tight enough near Huntelaar. Willian came back but if he tries to even touch the ball when Huntelaar's back is to him before he shoots, he probably fouls him.
Popular Post! The Chels 2,502 Posted September 18, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted September 18, 2014 Well it was either commit a foul and get a needless yellow card or acknowledge he couldn't tackle Draxler without fouling and not give away a stupid freekick. If it was a poor effort by Ramires to make a tackle that would have only resulted in a foul then was it a poor decision by Fabregas to hold onto the ball for so long? Since when does stopping a promising counter attack where our RB is up the field constitute giving away a stupid free kick? Ramires gives away plenty of those but this would not have been one of them and the yellow card would have been well worth it, not 'needless'. Jose actually mentioned it in his post-match interview:"They scored 1-1 in a counter-attack situation. We made two mistakes."One was not to make a foul immediately when they recovered the ball and we had a chance for that.https://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/news/football-costas-hamstring-tests-mourinho-052222484--sow.html Barbara, dee25, TheOneChan95 and 2 others

If it was a poor effort by Ramires to make a tackle that would have only resulted in a foul then was it a poor decision by Fabregas to hold onto the ball for so long? He's got pace, couldn't he have just ran alongside Draxler? Matched him stride for stride? That would have blocked off a passing lane making it difficult for Draxler to pick such a pin point pass to Huntelaar. MrBlueGuy 1,552
Over 200 appearances for Chelsea in 4 years, average 50 per years is an amazing feed. Not to mention every single manager used him regularly. If he keeps this up by the time his contract finishes he could become one of the best CM in Chelsea history.Would probably be the most surprising one too as I am sure everyone expected him to be nothing but a go to guy, bench warmer when he was signed in 2010. Fernando 6,585
Just got a yellow card. Should be sub out as he has a habit of getting red cards in these type of games.

Sir Mikel OBE 4,920
Ruled out for tomorrow with minor injuryThis is good. Should not be playing these level of matches anyway. Should focus on getting rest for the Sporting/Arsenal week. RoyalBlues

LDN Blue 7,903
I think Carlo/RM is serious about getting Ramires....I can see this being a Jose vs board decision... Doubt it. Mourinho has spoken of his alliance to FFP, so he'll take account of the money that would be offered. But I see him advising the board to reject & the last thing they would do is piss on Mourinho's transfer plans haha

If the Khedira to arsenal rumors are true, madrid will go all in for Ramires.
LAB 1,030
Rami would like to stay here for as long as possible. Mourinho also rates him so he's not going anywhere. Bir_CFC
Barbara 15,149
Sell Ramires for £20-25m, get Khedira for free.Yes or No?No. Khedira isn't the same after those two lengthy injuries last season. Also with all his flaws, a player like Ramires is hard to find, if not used to EPL football, they might take a while to adapt and Ramires is the ultimate versatile, useful squad member - whether he's in the starting lineup or coming from the bench stroey and Cholo
