Carlo Ancelotti

Didn't want Ancelotti at Chelsea to start with and still don't. He might have put stood in the same room when the players' were given a dressing down about the effect their behaviour was having on the club but clearly, he isn't all that bothered. That's enough to tell me he isn't the sort of manager I want leading Chelsea.

Aha at last a like minded supporter, i felt i was pissing in the wind with my opinion i've been shouted down and called all manner of traitors.

i dont like his idea as at AC of using players past their sell by date.

i dont like his idea of 4 3 3 with poor old Nico stuck out on the right.

i dont like the idea of his 4 4 2 fucking "diamond" for christ sake man play lamps in his best position.

finally as a person he's great i like him manner very much, very laid back, maybe to laid back, but unfortunately that does not always make a good manager.

who is my man?........................guus of course, get him back now, he'll dig us out of the shit.

regards: JBD

Obviously Hiddink isn't coming back - not for at least 2 years anyway. I'm not even suggesting we get rid of Ancelotti because we're always too quick to sack managers and it hasn't ever done us any good. I do agree with all your other points though JBD, Ancelotti's style of management never impressed me when he was at AC and it doesn't particularly impress me now. The fact that he says he isn't bothered about our players' private lives when some of them clearly have a job keeping them 'private' is just another concern to add to the others really.

I just get the feeling he doesnt know how horrible/annoying the British press can be.Seems like he's hoping that part of it all will blow over..sadly.Not!

Nah Hiddick aint coming back.Maybe would if he hadnt gone to Turkey but sacking another manager just cost more and loose more money yada yada

Seems to nice a guy..needs to get angry and really angry not worry about upsetting them.Drop them for a game whatever it takes wack them round the head!

Look down your nose at me much more and you'll get dewdrops mate.

You ever watch Serie A over a sustained period of time? You'd have got a flavour of Ancelotti if you had because he'd never managed outside of Italy before he came to us - and it wasn't exactly breath-taking stuff. So did I want a manager with a preference for over 30s coming in and settling with the ageing squad he has? You bet your arse I didn't. And whilst Hiddink did an unbelievable job during his short spell in charge, at his age, we wouldn't exactly be looking at a long-term manager would we? If we're ever going to get the sort of stability at the club to have any sustained success, we need younger personnel both in terms of players and the manager.

That enlightened you sufficiently?

lol, ok I'll follow your example and go for a derisive overtone instead. I hadn't realised I was responsible for selecting our next manager but since you ask, firstly I think Roman got rid of a really good manager in Ranieri to start with. But if I stick with my theory of bringing in someone younger it'd be Guardiola.

I never suggested appointing our manager was you job ...and YOU STILL seem to have your knickers in a twist..

and now perhaps you could explain how has lived up to your expectations of failure ...

in other words list the mistakes he has made please.

If your thinking of really good young managers then how about a certain Mourinho. Don't think he is having such a good time in Italy with everyone trying to drive him out. Also heard he has made up with Roman. Would be ana amazingly popular choice with players and fans. Has already won 2 league titles. What do people think of that?

  • 3 weeks later...

"I always said that the penalties are only when the referee whistled, and the referee didn't whistle. I didn't see what happened [for Drogba's sending off]," Ancelotti said after the game."

My respect for Ancelloti has only increased with that statment. 3 clear cut penalties, more importantly the Samuel Tackle on Kalou at Inter, would have been a penalty and would have had Samuel sent off for professional foul. Which means him missing the game at Bridge. The entire Tie would have been ours and which means we wouldnt have seen the plastic fans with Ancelloti OUT rants.

By that Statement, Ancelloti has opened himself up to criticism. He could have easily put the blame on the Referee's like I am sure Mourinho would do but he decided to face it. Credit to him.

Good on him!

He just needs time.If he gets that or not is another story.Look at Fergie he came around, nothing and now look.If we hadnt be successful as we have over past years espically with Jose dont think he'd be getting as much stick as he has.But guess case of we should be winning things..we arent...rah!!!

If we were in this postion say next season/year after be slightly more..oh dear. But first season and all.Annoying the fact really we should've wrapped up the League but Arsenal and Man U have had chances and blown those..not just us

Like a classy but tired hotel on the seafront Chelsea are in need of a lick of paint, fresh investment and a star attraction.

the Special One will only be fully exorcised if he allows Ancelotti to build a side in his own image, rather than tinker with the shell left behind by Mourinho.

It is a complete joke that Chelsea fans are wanting Carlos head for the loss. He is our manager and he is one of the best in the world at what he does. Give him the time that he deserves and let him choose players he wants to sign. Not players that are still from the Jose Mourinho era.

IN CARLO I TRUST

Ancelotti is doing a very good job in his first season in the premier league, i'm happy to wait for him to build us in his image and create a squad and win the way we will be designed to.

This is not an overnight project.

Keep Carlo, We are not Real Madrid.
