Jype 6,398
http://www.thesun.co...elsea-deal.htmlI know it's the Sun but this is exactly what I said a couple of pages back. From the club's perspective a one year deal would be perfect but like I said Di Matteo won't be short of options this summer and he's certainly not desperate enough to agree to such deal. Offering him a one year contract is like saying "fuck you, we don't trust you enough to commit to you for more than one year and then we can get Guardiola if things go south" to the manager who has just won us the Champions League so he would be absolutely right to reject the offer. If he accepted a one year deal and failed, the club could just move on next summer but for him it would be much harder to land a good job after that than it is now as a Champion of Europe.Let's just hope he doesn't go to Liverpool. Of course we speak to the players and we’re always listening, but we won’t get into the scenario where the players pick the next manager.Robbie has done a fantastic job. The fact that he has the Champions League on his CV helps him enormously.[We will look to make an appointment] any time over the next couple of weeks and certainly by the time we go on tour. The players report back on July 4 or 5 and in ideal world you want the coach in position by then.I know there has been speculation in the press and media about conversations with X,Y or Z. That has not been the case.We will sit down with a board of directors and our owner as quickly as we can and take our decision from there.”Not getting good vibes at all. Rambo 1,729
But under Hiddink we also had better football. lolIf not a stupid bald referee, we would have won it in 2009.I thought so as well..the 2009 side (under Hiddink) was entertaining to watch. Sheva. 5,373
The Sun always post rubbish, just look a couple pages back and see their stupid 'inside report' that the players hate RDM more than AVB.

Blue Traveler 256
Beside all Sun reports, this delay to announce a new manager is not a good sign! there is definitely some obstacle to reach a mutual agreement!

OneMoSalah 8,886
If RDM doesn't get more than a two or three year deal Roman is nuts. The one year offer is a fucking piss take, he just did what Mourinho, Hiddink, Ancelotti etc couldn't do sign him up ffs!!

manpe 10,861
That's what I was afraid of ever since everybody started saying that he should be offered a 1 year contract just to be safe. I didn't think Robbie would like only a one year deal, he rightfully thinks he deserves more reassurance and recognition. Although we don't know yet.
