I go by what a majority have said about the fact, that Pato is not really the sort of player we should be signing at the moment. If we do sign him, then Sturridge might as well pack his bags and go back to Bolton for a year.

Drogba, Torres, Sturridge, Lukaku... it's a good balance of strikers, with Lukaku as Drogba's immediate successor. I'd love to see us add Pato, but we really don't need him!

Papers today suggest Milan are keeping tabs on Fernando Torres' current situation, and would be open to the possibility of a swap deal involving Pato, an apparent long term target of AVB.

Would anyone take that?

For me personally I would love to see Torres come good, if anything to shut the scousers up, but if he's still struggling come January, how long can we really afford to give him, taking into account he will be 28 in March. Having seen how positive our young signings have been over the last 12 months (that includes Ramires and David Luiz), I would not be against signing Pato.
