Id like to say that one of those matches we've fluffed were a needed wake up call but nothing has changed what so ever.

We also should have had a penalty but the team looks so lost right now.

Um, Cole Palmer straight up cost us the points. NJ definitely should have done better, but ignoring what Cole did is nonsensical. He threw the game, plain and simple. I just do not understand how we go from comfortable and dominant for most of the first half to looking completely out of ideas and dead on our feet the second half.

With the form of everyone around us compared to ours I don’t feel confident at all anymore that we’ll finish in the top 4. Which a month ago seemed impossible. 

This is what is frustrating . City were in some 'crisis' they're 2 behind! Arsenal were in a 'crisis' or panic when losing Saka. They can go 6 clear. Newcastle one behind...mad how this has changed in the space of 4 games. And no signs of a break from it really

Only having Jackson for 9 is an issue when he’s not been finding the net like now. Guiu won’t deliver at this level at least not now.

We should’ve had 3-4 goals before Palace even had the chance to equalize. Jackson scores ANY of the myriad chances where he’s 1 on 1 with the keeper and Palace’s fight and enthusiasm is killed dead.

And it’s not even like he’s forcing the keeper into brilliant saves with these chances. He’s missing the fucking target completely! 
 

He is NOT a Chelsea level main #9, simple as that. If Isak or Haaland or Osimhen had those chances today that Nico had they’d have a hat trick.

I’m not sure. Agreed that it was too risky a move against 2 players,  but unsure he’s not allowed to try to pull that off.

Felt the d line should’ve done better tho. They should’ve known we were not out of the woods yet and stayed deeper for a bit longer.

we can’t be always a midfield dispossession from conceding a goal.

Title talk should never been a thing cause was never a possibility with the players we have atm.. however top 4 looked potentially now....know games to play etc but we're not good at getting out of dodgy periods .

Agreed. Jackson played well with the ball at his feet and also high pressing really well, but was also really not nearly prolific enough in front of the goal.

Out of form strikers isn’t anything super surprising — having no viable option at this level not so much.

players like Isaak take away from the team compared to Jackson tho. It’s a tradeoff not a win/win.

We desperately need a top striker and for Lavia to get back already. Caicedo has been an absolute machine and was great again today for the first half. But then even someone as tireless as he usually is was clearly running on empty. We need someone in there badly to lessen his work load.
