I hope the team can make a statement result against Brighton, next game. Chelsea underperforming at Stamford Bridge sounds so wrong.

Such a shame we couldn’t secure the Palace-game.. Against City we had no chance but Palace one is 2 a point loss.

And Bournemouth should be a draw so we are where we should be.

Chelsea good, West Ham very bad as Palmer involvement wanes but his numbers do not

Tbf, it’s early season, so we don’t know who the poor sides are just yet. Which teams are wobbly and easy to beat.

Regardless, you smash the lesser teams all the same esp when they dare to play as equals.

Match was only shown on USA network which is tv only, so will catch the replay tomorrow.

Angry West Ham star Edson Alvarez 'threatened to kill' Chelsea's Enzo Fernandez during London derby spat

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-13877263/Angry-West-Ham-star-Edson-Alvarez-threatened-kill-Chelseas-Enzo-Fernandez-London-derby-spat.html

West Ham United midfielder Edson Alvarez reportedly threatened to kill Chelsea's Enzo Fernandez during Saturday's London derby.

Chelsea won the game 3-0 with all of the goals coming before the 48th minute.

Seemingly angry with the way the game was going, Alvarez fouled Cole Palmer shortly after the Englishman had scored Chelsea's third goal.

The Mexican was shown a yellow card by referee Samuel Barrott but the drama did not end there.

Moments later, Alvarez was seen shouting something at Argentina international Fernandez while secretively covering his mouth.

However, despite Alvarez covering his mouth, some of his words were picked up by the pitchside microphones.

According to Argentine daily newspaper OLE, Alvarez told Fernandez: 'I'll wait for you... I'll kill you outside, wherever you want.'

Fernandez did not appear overly worried by this alleged threat and he defiantly responded by patting Alvarez on the back and telling him: 'Go ahead'.

Perhaps sensing that he was at risk of losing his cool and being shown a red card, Hammers manager Julen Lopetegui subbed Alvarez off five minutes after his booking.

Fernandez stayed on the field until the 84th minute when he was replaced by Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Enzo's level of play has been subpar, but the fact he patted him on the stomach and said "Go ahead" is some of the most top tier shithousery I've ever heard of.

That is brilliant.

Some of my takes from the game:

- Sancho is a massive upgrade. He didn't exactly thrive this game as it wasn't set up for him, but he never wastes anything and is good at picking the ball up with hit back towards the goal and holding players off. He is fucking phenomenal in the box with his silky feet - absolutely the best we have in that regard. There was a play where he had the WHU defenders on skates in the box. Despite how well we do offensively now - I think there is still games where we struggle when teams sit back deep against us, and he is one of the keys for breaking teams down.

- It is nice having options like Neto and Sancho, and Felix available because we aren't as reliant and predictable. Cole was a non factor for most of the game, and he still chipped in and we still won comfortably.

- Tired of hearing people saying "Jackson isn't the number 9 we need going forward". This guy is a phenomenal player, and nitpicking when he doesn't score is crazy. Drogba wasn't a prolific scorer either, but its the things he did around that - yet we don't dare sully his name. He is also scoring the important ones to put us ahead, or first goals this season. Even at CP - he missed some chances, but he was self creating out there in the ones he missed.

- I get Malo is injured, but we need a makeshift fast unit who can play left and right back so we don't have to see Disasi and Wesley out there, especially against pacey and strong wingers. I don't care what anyone says Adama Traore is the kind of profile you need when you are having issues 1vs1 on those flanks. Get a fucking unit out there who will bully them and not let them have an impact, especially when that is their only good looking avenue to goal in the game.

- Tosin makes me more comfortable alongside Colwill...

- I know we played on the counter today, but I think our midfield issues at times are simply due to numbers. We rely on less players in midfield to try and win with the numbers we have forward. And we don't have anyone who is super effective at dropping deep and building up play IMO, as our forward players are better at pressing in a defensive sense, then dropping and keeping spaces occupied. I'd love to see a 4-3-3 where Lavia, Caicedo and Enzo are on together in games where we need control.

Our away jerseys are actually beautiful.

Challenge for those of you who don't already know, and who are willing to avoid just looking it up. What colour are the shirts we wore in this game? (I will be able to tell if you already knew, or looked it up.🙂)

Wasn't that the Mourinho era, think we had a run of like 80 games or so where teams couldn't beat us at the Bridge!

Felt like a huge win and some of the build up to the goals were outstanding.

I love how stern and to the point Maresca is after the game saying if they don't buy in they don't play, simple.

I'm starting to slowly enjoy watching us again
