Would be a dumb move like I always said to sack him. 

He hardly is the problem. The problem has been and will always be the squad. We need some key players in certain position and if we get that fix this summer then Maresca next season will look a world beater.

The Italian regards Chelsea's advance to an upcoming Europa Conference League final meeting with Real Betis as the clearest signal of an upward trend under his guidance.

The brutal truth is that this is a competition we have been expected to win. There will be no flowers handed out at Stamford Bridge for winning Europe's third-tier tournament.

For a club of Chelsea's ambition, not to mention vast financial outlay, the Champions League is what matters. That is where we believe it should be.

Yes because we faced a lot of good teams and put in a lot of good performances in on the way…. Maresca and the club are idiots if they think a Conference League win is signs of progress - we should of walked most games.

Particularly when we have a £1bn squad and are playing teams from Denmark, Poland, Sweden, Kazakhstan with a 1/1000th of the budget we have. 

Even if we win it and he gets CL, he needs to go. Not only for that, tactically still don’t get why he has a £115m midfielder playing RB most weeks and one of the best RBs in Europe as a CM (when fit). Why not just play a 433 to get the MF guys in and use Reece as a RB with Cole as a RWer? Lack of tactical flexibility is ridiculous

Seems to be a current trend of talking up performances when theyve been absolute fucking dross. Preferred the Fergie Mourinho stance of deflection and blaming officials/circumstances than this new 'management fake positivity' that theyve obviously learned from some online PR course

I just wish Maresca would stop talking in press conferences at times. Everything he says comes and bites him back.

Like when he said the team wasn't competing for titles last year. Bang. Outside the top 3 and dropping far behind Liverpool.

Few weeks back he said that getting in top 4 would be an achievement considering where the club finished in the last 3 seasons.

And now the club is in danger of finishing lower than it did last season.

Exactly.

And that was after his quips about how we’ve not been finishing in the top 4 too in recent seasons. Then how CL wasn’t the goal then he walked that back. We should be top 4 comfortably but he has been a big reason as to why we aren’t. 

Its like Lampard’s first season, we were top 4 and sitting pretty then really nearly blew it. Only for it to be celebrated like it was a trophy despite having been numerous points clear at one stage earlier in the season. The exact same feeling with this chump. He’s at it.

I just absolutely hate the way he has no filter between poor performances and good wins, it's all monotone and when faced with a very deep question he starts talking about how long it is since we played CL. But the best thing is, if we don't qualify for the CL he has got some serious egg on his face as all he has ever gone on about is how we have been in the top four for so long.

This is why I think the board adore him, he's robotic, a glove puppet and someone who will always dance to their tune and be happy with he transfer shite they serve up.

Meh I still want him, there's no other better option out there...maybe Alonso but he is going to Real Madrid. 

The best we can get is him and hope we continue. 

Hope the board for once does the sane thing, forget about manager and fix the squad.

There is a scenario had we gotten Osimhen last summer + Jackson, we’d finish the season comfortably 2nd. 
 

I don’t know. Maresca is too inexperienced for me but I still think the squad building is by far our biggest concern.

Well a lot of match going fans won’t be happy, there is no connection with Maresca. At all. Hence the reaction the past months with poor results and his garbage pressers.

Need to take drastic action and send these fucking idiot owners a message.

Wonder how many season tickets will sell next season if we don’t get CL football in particular.

If we miss out on CL and fail to win the ECL then all hell will break loose and it will all be directed at the owners and manager.

Our away form, the tactics, the style of football, the connection with the fans is a complete mess. The shiny new toy was ok for the first few months but then cracks started to appear and his only plan was plan A, he can't deviate away from it because he doesn't know how, his interviews are a joke and some what robotic and I would guess 90% of the fan base fucking detest him.

All this and they will stick with him

Or alternatively, Maresca could've set us up properly for the two Ipswich games and we would be second. Or if he didn't bend us over in the away games against City, Arsenal, Newcastle (only changed tactics when we were down to 10 men and then became the better team) and Utd.

He had plenty to work with this season, but as his negative football took hold the worse we got.

A more than smallish chance that we drop all three games. I have no confidence left, especially with no CF for the 2 league games, and then a very good Betis side with a great manager in the CnfL final.

Manure all seaon and Forest (last month plus) have been shite in thr EPL but they will both, no doubt, raise their games up hard and high v us. Watch Mount score a brace v us.

The Forest game will be their cup final and very similar to the Newcastle game. The Newcastle game I called to my lad, I said we would concede within ten minutes and it would be game over. The second half we were all huff and puff but ultimately the game was lost from the first goal with players heads dropping, scared of a big atmosphere and lack of tactical ideas.

We will defo drop points to United and get zero against Forest
