I missed the game so can't comment on the performance, but fucking hell ppl this was a first game of pre-season with players have not even seen each other before let alone play in the same team.

This team resembles nothing like the one that will face Shitty and it's going to take time, so ffs give it a rest and get real.

Cannot read anything into preseason games. I remember last season when some people where getting excited about pre-season which I thought was silly, the inverse is equally true this time. 

Just think of these games as open training.

There was actually room for excitement last year: Poch played the same tactical system that we played at the end of the season, when we went on our winning run. I am still convinced that if he had played that system all year and made even vaguely sensible decisions he would still be employed and we would be top 4.

Literally all I care about after these first 2 preseason matches is that nobody gets injured. That Lavia, Reece, Nkunku, and Fofana all got minutes and came out unscathed is all that matters to me.

Bonus that Lavia apparently looked good already.

Any fan worrying or panicking after preseason match #1 when we’re missing likely 5 starters including our 2 best goal scorers and two best midfielders are crazy.

This preseason is all about gradually building up chemistry and understanding in a new system and way of playing. That’s never going to be instant and the results don’t matter at all.

When the official matches come, it won't be any different when you don't have the class, your coach is championship level, you're just fooling yourself that this team will cook without reason .
This squad is not build for football to be competitive no one elite club do what Clownlake do .
