Watching him for the first time in game conditions vs Botafogo right now. He's playing on the left and has been quiet + not as comfortable on this side. But have to say his workrate is high and he's seriously good on the ball - Palmeiras basically turn to him all the time and he wants the ball all the time - which is a great sign - an 18 year old becoming a mainstay in attack.

We should treat him like Pep treated Foden for years or Yamal in Barca in 23-24 or Nwaneri at Arsenal last season. Have him on rotation and gradually increase gametime as he becomes familiar with the league.

I really worry that maresca might completely ignore him and play him sparingly....

Maresca is that kinda coach, however, if estevao performs g/a instantly then even maresca won't have a choice.

We have too many players, and that is a problem in estevaos opportunities he will get.

I think he will be a super sub unless he really is the next messi and even then I think messi wouldnt of been the player he is, if he had been in the PL his whole career

He skinned us in the CWC a few times but the ol can he do it on a rainy afternoon at stoke saying comes to mind

Joao Pedro about Estevao: ''Sometimes training is too long for Estevao and he feels tired before the gym. I don’t always need to do the gym, but I go with him because it's very important for him. He knows how physical the Premier League is. Me and Andrey push him."

Love this! Good on the lads for pushing him, he will regret not doing the gym work in later years. Versus Chile he looked/looks so lightweight, played as well as the rest of Brazil, flashes, but he looks gangly and awkward without being tall, not sure how else to describe it - Bambi with one ice skate on, sounds harsh and negative but it’s not meant as such.

JP seems to be a great addition to the squad on and off the pitch.
