Crystal Palace 1-3 Chelsea

The Villa win was a yard stick, we need to start with as nearest as possible the same side. Batshield is out now so if Colwill is fit play him and Disasi central and Chilly and Gusto as the wide lads, the rest the same.

Have a feeling Poch will feel sorry for Sterling and fetch him back in

Let's not give a heavily depleted Palace side a reason to reconsider sacking an underperforming manager.

Good at that though. Annoying thing is it's not like we play well and lose in these situations usually play sodding awful and all the other team need to do is score and we run around in circles for the remaining time and make it so easy

We tend to play up or down to the level of the opposition, most of the time. If Poch keeps a similar XI to the one fielded against Villa, we SHOULD win without much trouble.

However, as we all know, there's nothing certain as far as this club is concerned.

Calm down folks.
They need to lubricate Nkunkus wheel chair first, he will play in the second half.

No but seriously, why doesnt he start? What the feck is going on?

I swear Poch and perhaps Lampard are the only managers in the world that would play Gallagher ahead of a generational talent like Nkunku.

Very likely nothing to do with Poch or any manager.
It's obviously physios and fitness coaches assessing that Nkuku should see fewer minutes.

Classic Poch to cling onto the lineup that brought one fluke win. He surprised Emery with playing palmer false 9 and nkunku on the left. Won’t happen again. Criminal to sit Nkunku on the bench for this misconception

I'm hoping it's solely based on his fitness. When he's up to speed, Gallagher ought to be taking his place on the bench.

When I see Gallagher and Palmer alternating from CAM/ST in this set up, Nkunku should be in the mix.

He's been fit for weeks.

How do you know "how fit"? We have well-paid fitness coaches and Physios assessing these players.
Speaking from experience here: it's never ever the manager. The manager is usually the one pushing to play and make players available, esp the better ones.

Nkuku has been extremely injury-prone this season. We are towards the end of the season and he's been injured for the most part.

There is no "reset' button here: Fitness coaches and Physios need to be cautious to avoid a much dreaded re-injury.
Personally, I side with whoever is being cautious regarding Nkunku esp given there is little to gain by playing him in these PL games at this point.

Actually, his past history looks troubling as well 😕 https://www.transfermarkt.us/christopher-nkunku/verletzungen/spieler/344381
