stroey 2,525
Great in attack but rubbish in defense, imagine if Jose, Simeone or even Rafa had Kompany, Mangala, Otamendi, Demichelles as CB options, Zabaleta as full back with Fernandinho protecting them, our defensive record of 2005 would be under serious threat.I want a decent balance of the both, which is what old Jose gave us and what Simeone will, Pellegrini, Emery type teams are too defensively weak for me.I am not sure our attacking players (oscar, hazard, cesc etc) will love to play Simeone's type of football. For Simeone, attacking players like Turan/Hazard also need to track back a lot, he plays very pragmatic football. Sometimes he parks the bus even at home against mid table teams. Yes he also plays with attacking backs, but that's because he has great CB's who don't need protection. Pellegrini will give them complete freedom to attack and we saw how happy they were last game vs Sunderland, that's the football these guys wants. If he wins the league this season, he will have won it twice in 3 years time. Proven in the EPL and an attacking manager, why not?
stroey 2,525
Guardiola is a coward. He is afraid of the whole situation: rebuild a team that Mourinho left destroyed. He will choose, again, a pretty easy job and will manage a super stellar squad. Not really destroyed, we won the league and we only need 3-4 signings to be a complete different team: 2 defenders to slowly phase out JT and Ivanovic, a great CM and maybe a great second striker. Regarding Pep, it's the best decision he can make. He has connections there (former Barca people), he can buy who ever he wants without worrying Emanelo will give him Djilobodji/Hector as City are sponsored by themselves. It's a challenge for him to win the CL for City, not super easy. Tautvix and Essien19

stroey 2,525
Chelsea line up Manuel Pellegrini as Mourinho's replacementEmenalo has long been an admirer of Pellegrini's calm and unfussy style of management, advising Roman Abramovich to appoint the Chilean instead of bringing Mourinho back to Chelsea in 2013. The former Nigeria international, who was brought to Stamford Bridge by Avram Grant in 2007 from a position coaching a girls side at Tucson Soccer Academy, is again championing Pellegrini's conciliatory style of handling players and public relations -- historically, key concerns for Chelsea's billionaire owner. According to senior Chelsea sources, financial terms have already been discussed with Pellegrini's representatives and a pre-contract deal put in place. Abramovich is also understood to be considering installing Didier Drogba as one of Pellegrini's assistants, with the hugely popular former Chelsea striker already on record about an agreement to return to the club in a coaching capacity after his spell in MLS at Montreal Impact.http://www.foxsports.com/soccer/story/chelsea-line-up-manuel-pellegrini-as-mourinho-s-replacement-122015Thanks Emanelo if true Essien19

He will choose, again, a pretty easy job and will manage a super stellar squad.Staying at Bayern would be a lot easier. Guardiola's not the type to stay long at a club. Do you then pick a rebuilding process or a team where you can cover your needs with one or two windows? That's sensible. It's football fans always trying to paint him as a genius or the greatest or whatever. I don't think he's looking for such adulation.I'd love to see high-profile managers take 'small' jobs though. Let's see how influential managers are when taking charge of a midtable side or a so-called sleeping giant.

Popular Post! SinineUltra 1,170 Posted December 20, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted December 20, 2015 My question is: if Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Münich, PSG, ManCity, Arsenal etc are all pushing for beautiful attacking tikataka football style, why should we follow suit? Are there enough players to actually implement the right system? I really didn't mind defensive football, that has been our niche for a long time. The main difference I'd expect to see from Simone (compared with JM) is a better man management/better PR via press. So in that regards Simone would be the best candiate for the vacancy. He basically want to ridicule Emenalo there, because only a fool would believe Roman didn't decide himself Mourinho's fate and HE is the one who will choose the next manager, and to be honest its pretty foolish to imagine Emenalo decided himself Pellegrini would be the next manager and its even more absurd to imagine both sides already signed a pre-contract at this point, 3 days after Mourinho got the axe.Even for Castles standards that article is pretty embarrassing. sainttourist, Clockwork, Peace. and 1 other
