The Next Manager?

I really like Hiddink, I like the respect he gets from players and I fully appreciate what he did here before.

Looking forward to it.

I'm not looking forward to it, but he's the only viable option out there. The fans will give him some support and he's known to the staff at the club.

But he's the best of a bad bunch and if we do get Ramos....fucking hell. There's part of me that would find it truly hilarious and I almost want it to happen so it's made perfectly clear that Roman and the board really don't give two fucks about the fans.

I have to disagree with you a bit on this matter. When we hire mourinho, the clubs has already set the identity. Everybody know mourinho is a defensive manager with certain way of playing and we expect him to be here for a long time.

We sold kdb, mata and schurrle and replace them with Pedro and Willian. Both are more willing runner compare the other two.

Imo you set your identity by the type of manager that you hire and by the type of player that you buy.

That's why Simeone isn't my number 1 choice to Chelsea. It seem he would come in under the shadow of Mourinho, known for developing a hard working team with a tight defence.. Sounds familiar, right?

But you have to back that manager and give him the tools, which we didn't this summer. And this was Mourinho - not just a top class coach but someone the supporters would back no matter what, and they couldn't give him that support??

What chance does anyone else have?

Men that is a serious piss poor excuse for the state we are on if that's what you are trying to point at.

Because even if we bought no one there's no absolute reason to be one point above relegation by December, none!

I agree, but there was absolutely no intention from the club to retain the title this season based on their transfer dealings. Absolutely none.

Not only did we see City strengthen considerably and not try to keep pace, we also helped Arsenal improve by selling them a piece that they had been missing since Lehmann left (and that's being kind because Seaman is probably closer to Cech's level).

Mourinho was undermined by the club in the summer. It shouldn't have been this bad, but it was always going to be a step down on last season.

Unless the players decide to down tools-Chris Suttons words, ( and he should know about downing tools)

I agree with everything you said but still that is not the reason we are one point above relegation in December.

If I was running the club I would have done the same.

Say what you want about Wenger but it has never been like this. He at least manages to make top 4. With Mourinho it was all gone.

Well if that's the case, then as the cliche goes around these days "it's much easier to fire the manager then the players" is true.

I would have also done the same even if the players are also to blame.

I believe this thinking is like this today because the amount of money clubs manages in this time of age.

Funny that because of a monetary decision Mourinho is sack, the manager that has had big money available to do good with his squads....
