The transfer ban comes at a perfect time because we might just keep Sarri.

No new manager will want to take over with a transfer ban.

This is perfect and for now we will be forced to stick with a manager for once.

Says a lot when this is the best argument people can make on why we should keep Sarri.

I want to keep him to have stability.

To build on a manager identity.

Just like I have wanted to keep the past manager.

Every manager we had always had one bad month or two.

No one we get will ever be perfect.

It's always the same.

Doubt any Chelsea fan would say no to stability but the problem is, Sarri hasn't given us any reason why we should persist with him, even through the hard times. Backing the manager for the sake of it is hardly a recipe for success. This person nailed it with Sarri (although No.5 is a bit harsh).

And that's without mentioning the confusing messages he's said vs his actions. He criticized them after a defeat and has gone on to play the same lot in the next game OR he went from "CHO is not ready" to "CHO is ready. I consider him on the same level as Pedro/Willian" to "I can only play CHO if we sell one of Pedro/Willian/Hazard"!

This isn't even about a bad period anymore. It's about his team management. He's been playing the same formation, making the same subs in every single game, setting us up with predictable tactics, not reacting to opponents' tactics. criticizing the players but continuing to play them, praising some players but then not rewarding them with starting places etc. We've been playing badly for months now and he's shown next to zero changes in trying to turn things around. He's just throwing the same thing out every time and hoping it goes well. We criticized the likes of Mourinho/Conte for being guilty of those in the past - I believe even you did it - so why is Sarri getting all the free pass now?

I can (and have) accepted not perfect, but i can't accept the meak capiluations of late, it's relegation form.

I do actually like what Sarri is trying to do system wise (i particularly like how comfortable we are playing out from the back for the most part even against the elite, my one criticism of Jose and Conte even when it was all gardens and flowers was how we struggled against intelligent pressing), but so many things are going against him now (some his doing others not).

unfortunately we can't waste time building stability with a stubborn, underwhelming manager with a blank CV

So who do you suggest?

I don't really know whos out there tbh. I felt like we could have built stability with Conte - if his relationship with the board had not soured., and they got some better wingbacks in and a striker.

This is where the problem lies, with the board. The recruitment at this club has been shocking for years now. We have become the over 30 AFC

To be fair Howe has done a super job at Bournemouth, and considering their spending power he has them playing good football.

I'm not for one minute saying we should go for him, but this club bunny hop their way through managers so much it's like scratching around the lost property bin year on year.

The young English bloke who's done well on a poor budget would be something, that I think, the board would see as 'fuck it let's give it a go'

We've done AVB, Jose x2, the Italian chain smoker is charge now, who was meant to bring 'Sarri-ball', it's more like Sorry-ball because I don't think the players have a clue what it is, and neither does Sarri.

It is more than possession football. To be able to be successful he need to have a style that can be successful for big team if not it will be like David Moyes all over again. I need to watch bournemouth play more to understand, but I watched Poch soton team twice and I understand why he was hired for spurs.

Zinedine Zidane ‘more than happy’ to join Chelsea FC – report

Zinedine Zidane is still keen on the Chelsea FC job, according to reports

https://www.thesportreview.com/2019/02/chelsea-fc-news-zinedine-zidane-latest-update/

Ofc. Then he is happy with the squad and wont expect any signings knowing the squad will fuck up and he gets the sack after a couple of months. Easy payday for Zidane!
