The board should admit they've lost the battle of ego's with De laurientes and pay the release clause for sarri. Just imagine if Conte stays, that means Hazard, RLC and definitely willian are all gone. Our board don't know how to get good replacements so we'll always get lower quality than them.

As long as all is in place for pre season im really not that concerned. But seems for all the "new breaking news" that we are no closer to binning antonio and hiring sarri. Still all guess work from the gutter press

Might be a different story behind the scenes, but from the outside where we stand Chelsea are the worst run club in the PL and have been now for a few years. Thank fuck we've had some excellent coaching jobs to mask the incompetence from above.

If we don't have a manager in place soon...we are in for another disastrous season. But unlike last season it won't be us finishing 5th but rather midtable.

I too think Conte staying at this point would be a disaster. Not getting on well with the squad and no pulling power for new quality signings, also too many media distractions would derail our season further. Everybody will know he is there only because the incompetent board couldn't secure who we needed. Sarri MUST get done! That is unless the club wants to become an utter and complete laughing stock.

It's too late to keep Conte. Would've been an option if it was announced immediately after the FA Cup final.
