The Next Manager?

No chance in hell of the Don staying. Theres been a tsunami of water under the Bridge for that to happen.

The thing I'm worried about with this manager fuck up is the repercussions. Potentially losing our good players as they got no fuckin idea of whats occurring. And losing repin front of potential transfers thinking exactly the same thing.

New players AND old like to see stability, continuity, growth, ambition. We aren't showing any of that right now.

That is true, the stories of Hazard, Courtois and Kante leaving are getting too strong. Smoke, fire and all that. They are our best players by far in their respective positions, even if we manage to adequately replace them by some unlikely miracle, then it will still take time for everything to click so next season would be a write-off. It's imperative this clusterfuck is sorted by the end of world cup, this is when they get back and start seriously thinking about their club careers. That said, if we are still in this state by that time, then we (or rather the board) don't deserve anything better anyway. I know everybody says it's pathetic and whatnot, of course it is, but what makes me sad is that this is the lowest I've seen the club on its knees since I started following Chelsea. I know there have been far worse times, but I wasn't around then, so for me this is the low-point... but there is no way in hell I'm ditching this club.

I know its easy for some to say its only football etc but this I think is the most pessimistic I have been in a pre season and that's including when we were sent to Div 2 cause then I knew we were the strongest team in that league and would be going straight back.

But now its just the overall apathy. And it would only take some sort of comment from SOMEONE on the fuckin board to say - Its all undder control and we have a plan in process. We will be strengthening the team.

Not too much to ask for.

While i accept we aren't exactly in a great place right now, this isn't the lowest we've been in 3 years let alone our lifetimes.

I’ve even read he’s apparently coming after July 1 and that his first appearance at Cobham as our new manager could be on July 4th.

So are you full of enthusiasm, awe and wonder? Full of hope for our next season let alone our future?

Its a very bad way to run a company let alone the team you love mate.

OK I might be letting my overall mood rule my footballing head right now but you have to see how this might effect us big time. And it really wouldn't take much to turn this right around. Just to show some sort of faith and commitment from the powers that be and I'd say fuck it - Go for it.

I count the last 2-3 years also in this, not only this June or previous season. The league title made it better though.

Although I agree with 99% of this, I think it needs sorting NOW. Not after the World Cup. We're back in training shortly, playing Arsenal in Dublin on August 1st (5 weeks from now) and a few other games in between. A new manager will need a bit of time to assess his playing staff and see who's staying and who's getting the boot. Also, Hazard, Kante and Willian are not going to wait much longer before deciding what they are going to do. So we need the board to step up and LEAD and show some direction, and that they have the interest of the club and the fans at heart. And do it now.

Even if the board was just business people with no love of football you would expect them to have their shareholders futures in mind. A strong LOOKING club has to be worth more than if it looks weak.

But makes it look perfect for a takeover.

Cant argue with that. As I've said before, Ithink Roman is using us as a political football (see what I did there :P:P) and he is rapidly getting tired of his toy but doesn't want anyone else to play with it
