The Next Manager?

Player power all over again, we're basically terminating Conte's contract and getting Sarri so that Hazard can stay.

While he is crucial to us, what will happen when Sarri demands exhausting pressing from him and Willian ? Will they start whining again ? Will our team block be broken again because of our lack of offensive press ? Will we sack Sarri again ?

The grass is always greener, while I don't agree with Conte's attitude this season ( which could easily be adressed internally by telling him to shut the fuck up ) we still have a brilliant manager that we want to sack because of a couple of spoilt kids who "don't want to play Conte's football", the same football that got them from 10th to champions last year.

Maurizio Sarri hoping to first succeed Chelsea manager Antonio Conte and then convince Dries Mertens to join him. #CFC (Telegraph)

Chelsea are closing in on the appointment of Sarri as successor to head coach Conte and hope to complete a move for midfielder Jean Michael Serri once their managerial situation is sorted out. (Telegraph) #CFC

Seems strange that every forward we're linked with is and 30 or older. Mertens, Lewandowski, Higuain. You would think that since we already have Giroud who is also that age we'd be after someone like Icardi who is young and will be in his prime for years to come theoretically.

When you think about it, though, it sort of makes sense to bring in a top class, experienced forward like those mentioned to fire us back into the CL places.

We're told there's been no contact from Chelsea towards Sarri or Zola and that won't happen until Conte's situation is resolved.

From Sky sports

To be fair SSN are becoming just as bad as the Daily Star for their innacuracy.

Agree but with our 1 year policy the club would be chucking allot of money away cause these lads aren't cheap.

Icardi would give us goals, good age and should keep Eden happy. Much more sensible so we won't go down that road will we.

More likely crouch  or a failed bid for Ronaldo 2  mins past deadline day.

Nobody knows anything

One thing that we all know for certain is that our board are extremely slow like an old computer, one process at a time, finish one task to start another.

So there is probably things going on considering that this situation is so unusual, but we won't know anytime soon and there is actually no indication that we can pull this through, so patience and don't fall for media bait

Do you really think it's as simple as them "not wanting to play Conte's football" what they just turned up one day and randomely decided they didn't like him anymore?

We are a successful team, we don't win trophy's because we have submissive choir boys who unconditionally pander to wills of the manager. It's upto the gaffer to manage the characters correctly. That's what Fergie mastered, it's easy to say he booted the ego's that took him on, but that wasn't always the case. He kicked Beckham and Stam out because they were replacable, when Rooney took him on he was  "punished" with a record breaking new deal, Keane may have been booted out in his twilight, but do you think he didn't do as bad if not worse than that interview in his prime?

Managing big characters comes with the job in successful clubs and if managers can't get to grips with that it will prove their downfall at some point.
