Popular Post! Special Juan 28,141 Posted June 19, 2018 Popular Post! Share Posted June 19, 2018 Zola has been summoned ready to be unveiled as Sarri's number 2, it's a big thing for the club, supporters and him. Him flying back tells you things are happening, it's probably a dream come true for Zola to be involved in such a big job at the club he's seen as a hero at, imagine how excited he must be to come back and work under Sarri. Chelsea Legend 11 4,062
Have a feeling Zola is being brought in to be the Yin to Sarri's Yang. I mean do they even know each other well enough to fully say they can work together? I mean I am elated but it still wreaks of the Board trying to find a way to meddle in the affairs on the pitch... At least this time its a guy that knows what it means to the supporters to see the squad fight! Its a positive move for sure but still a signal that not much will change behind the scenes

Its a positive move for sure but still a signal that not much will change behind the scenes I think Zola is Steve Holland's replacement as the club based number 2. Last season we let Conte bring in his own replacement for Steve but the general rule in the Roman era is we have a club based assistant to go alongside the manager's own staff and it's worked well. oldportblue, Johnnyeye, Blue Armour and 4 others
El P. 1,354
Zola's presence alone will be great thing to have, and I'm sure he has something to offer as an assistant (but not as a main coach of course).

Duppy Conqueror 1,534
just get this shit wrapped up already. we losing out on possible upgrades at positions and replacements ..like Leno and Rui Patricio would have been decent options for GK this season.but now gone already to lesser clubs when we could have snapped up even with our recent bargain bucket raiding transfer policy ..the buy out clause for Sarri we pay for teenagers we then loan out until their mid 20`s. manpe and xPetrCechx

Quote Maurizio Sarri will be a success at Chelsea, says Kalidou Koulibaly Kalidou Koulibaly says he is disappointed Maurizio Sarri will no longer be coaching Napoli but has backed him to be a success if the Italian moves to Chelsea. Sarri has been linked with Chelsea for several months as a potential replacement for Antonio Conte, and a source told Sky Sports News on Tuesday his agent was in London to discuss a deal. Napoli have replaced Sarri with Carlo Ancelotti, but the former Empoli coach is still contracted to the Serie A side and chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis is demanding compensation before he releases the 59-year-old. Although a deal between Sarri and Chelsea has not been reached, Koulibaly said: "They [Chelsea] can expect nice football because he is a very good coach. "I'm disappointed that he leaves like this but we have now a big coach [Carlo Ancelotti]. We know we can win something with him. "I hope he will win something with Chelsea because he's a nice coach. When a coach like this comes he needs time. So I think they have to give him time because he will change the football of Chelsea, I think. "At Napoli we enjoyed it very much as players and the supporters enjoyed it very much. At Chelsea I think it will be the same." http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/11410657/maurizio-sarri-will-be-a-success-at-chelsea-says-kalidou-koulibaly https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/maurizio-sarri-confirmed-as-next-chelsea-manager-by-kalidou-koulibaly-as-star-predicts-nice-football-a3867441.html
