Not necessarily, City won one league cup in three years and never lost their's. Arsenal have won 3 FA Cups in 4 years yet no one's scared of them.

The fact is, there's is no guarantee we will win anything even if we go for the "safe" option.

City are feared more for their financial power. Arsenal, on the other hand, have not won major trophies for a long time.  But they have been playing attractive football for many years.

There is no guarantee, but our record with attacking coaches is not that great. I fear that Sarri could end like AVB or Scolari.

Nah! That would be horrible for us. We will lose our fear factor and become a club like Arsenal/Spurs

We've papered over cracks for years (very successfully mind).

However teams have caught us up having built a much stronger and stable long term project compared to our boom or bust mentality.

We're also not the big fish anymore with regards to transfer fees and wages. We're still very much competitive, but we've reigned it in just at the time when transfers are escalating and teams are throwing more money around.

Something will inevitably give eventually unless we put some solid foundations in with an eye on the next 5 years, not just this year.

Thank Maurizio Sarri for his precious dedication to football Napoli that has allowed to give to the city and the Blue fans worldwide prestige and emotions, creating a model of play admired everywhere and by anyone. Bravo Maurizio.

Maybe but we have the foundations of a very good defence. Tho I would still prefer a upgrade for Cahill/Andreas.

Emerson Rudi Koulibali Dave

That would be a strong defence to go with Sarri giving a good attack.

2. Our academy sides play the type of game Sarri does. At the minute the disconnection between the first team and the academy in terms of play style is alarming, someone like Sarri coming in and bridging that gap will surely help in terms of the best youngsters progressing to the first team. The Academy is the one thing we have over the clubs that are/can spend more money than us, and at some point we have to make it count.

Amazing thinking the 1st team should play like our youth teams. Why not ave alot of time and money and promote Morris? He knows English football, the clyb and players.

Cause he is not ready, in a few years maybe. but U18 to First team is too drastic a jump. Start getting him ready now with Lampard on the staff for the future.

King Carlo signed 3 year contract with Napoli.

Again I think this move is a bit of a risk, as Bayern replacing Pep with Carlo was. I don't think Sarri is as intense as Pep but I think hes a lot more hard work than Carlo will be. Hopefully it works out for both parties because Napoli have established a nice philosophy and Carlo is ex Chels but I can see it being a troublesome mix. Also no way Carlo is going to go there and not have the guarantee of financial backing, hes a house hold name manager.
