Henrique 9,133
Silly season. Nobody really knows who the next manager will be. I think the only time the press got an appointment right was before Ancelotti and Mourinho were announced, but that was suppa easy, in Ancelotti case he released his biography where he talked about how he was studying Chelsea, people from Milan were saying he was going to Chelsea, and in Mourinho's case the man himself was saying he was love by one english club. Hopefully, it will follow a long and well thought out decision on who is the best candidate. Atleti are joint top, though they have played two more games. Cant see him deciding whilst in the middle of a title run, he's gonna put everything into drawing out every ounce. Allegri is the same. Only options are Sampaoli who is unemployed or Conte whos an international manager already looking to return to club football. So if a manager is announced before May, you can bet it wont be Simeone or Allegri. Only options if you believe in press rumors.

It's because I read in the Chilean media a week or so ago that Chelsea does not rate him high enough to be the leading candidate, hence he is at the bottom of their wish list. Will only appoint Sampaoli should all the other managers (Simeone, Conte, Allegri etc.) refuse to come here. News on him are rather quiet these days, but he is linked with the Marseille job. He's still a risk as any manager would be, but I feel like we have the kind of squad that would serve as a great base with which to build around. He brings in a few of his type of players and we'll compete for the title next season. Shocked Pellegrini is not on your list since you were clamoring for attacking football! Popular Post! Henrique 9,133 Posted February 7, 2016 Popular Post! Share Posted February 7, 2016 I hope the next manager is a low profile one, like Hiddink. Someone that won't be creating controversies on a weekly basis or giving answer in press conferences that are designed to be in papers headlines, or someone that won't be trying to motivate the players with provocative strategies, or always talking about himself and taking a dig at Wenger just to play for the gallery. Hiddink's strategies and results are not what we wanted, but its really refreshing that football became the subject again and the players are the protagonists again. For me thats the biggest difference before and after Mr. Special One. Fernando, Beigl, dimmas and 3 others
Supermonkey92 1,428
Good thing about Simeone above the others is that he is hot property. He is up there with Pep and Jose. So, if he demands significant transfer activity, you can be damn sure he'll. Get it, especially when the club sees now how bare the manager options are

Tuchel and Sarri have done well but it's only one season so far and would you even have recommended them last season before they went to Dortmund and Napoli respectively? Schubert, on the other, has only done OK so far. Nothing of note to be shouting about.
