Marco Silva seems like he'd be the absolute last resort appointment if everyone we would truly want rejects us. The owners would spin it as a big positive thing because he has been fairly successful in the PL already for many years.

One of the briefings they have put out there numerous times now is that they know “they can’t mess up again this time” with this next appointment. They’ll really want someone to appease the supporters who are rightly super angry at them. If they go out and appoint Marco Silva there will be a huge negative reaction. And if we were to then have a poor start to next season with him in charge there will be a toxic atmosphere once again just like there is now.

Im sure they will mess up and give it time we'll be in this mess yet again...

Cesc is definitely interested. A big round of interviews with Matt Law, Rory Jennings in the week the Chelsea job becomes available talking about his work at Como, future. Como President saying they wouldn't stand in his way.

All this is adding up to me as Cesc is interested. Of course, he is looking to get a fair amount of control if he's gonna join.

The cleverly optioned Athletic poll were Chelsea fans voted for Cesc as favorite next option for manager wouldnt have gone unnoticed by the ownership.

We know this group does scour through social media to gather sentiment.

Maybe this time they will follow through for once.

Hazard and Drogba have urged Fabregas in the past to be the next Chelsea manager. Hopefully they can be the tipping point. While they might not be fans of the current regime., they do care about fans of the club.

Imagine if he brings back one or two of the old boys to join him in his backroom staff. Mood would instantly lift around the place.

Can't cope with another summer of a manager telling us they need time to look at the players and that Rob Sanchez is a great goalie, that we have an excellent squad that should be fighting for all major honours, that they will need time to get their ideas across but that if we're patient the team will stop leaking easy goals and going on endless losing runs.

Just give me a straight talking manager that will be clear about what he needs to deliver immediately, give him that, and then hold him accountable if he fails to have us comfortably top 4.

🗯🔵Breaking NewsXabi Alonso has emerged as the front-runner for the Chelsea job in a move that indicates the club are willing to cede more power to the manager over recruitment.

Alonso is open to the prospect of a move to Stamford Bridge. Alonso has some high-profile backing inside the ownership group.

Dave Fallows is the guy he knows at the club.

I think it’s 100% a given that Sanchez will remain as our #1. He probably showed just enough quality over this season for the club to tell whomever the new manager is that he must stay for 1 more season until Penders is fully ready in their minds.

Unless they give the manager full autonomy of player decisions and the new guy is adamant that Sanchez isn’t suitable for their style.

See that's the problem, holding onto and continuing to players like Sanchez is part of the downfall, players like him need to sold and a new high quality keeper bought, we have to start buying much better quality.....Out standards have dropped so much as fans it's as if BlueCo have brainwashed us to thinking mediocrity is fine.
