What's the point of sacking potter to get Lampard and get same result.

What clueless owners.

I have lost total faith in them and don't expect anything good for next season either.

They listen to fans opinions too much. Even here people wanted Potter gone so much that they didnt think about the consequences. I always told u that its better to just let Potter in charge for the rest of the season and look for a replacement in the meantime. But the opinion from some was "it cant be worse without Potter". Well, welcome to reality.

It wouldn't have been worse than potter if they hired an actual manager not some former player

Heavily doubt that. These players are lacking the right mindset to finish this season properly.

Exactly.

Replacing one below par manager with a worse one doesn't justify anything.

The idiocy was in removing the manager without a real replacement in place. Even a child would tell you that.

Just look at Bayern atm. Tuchel is considered a world class manager, people here were defending him a lot. And since he is in charge of Bayern, their results and also performances got even worse a lot.

Football games are won in the head, not on the tactic board.

I can't speak for Bayern or Naggelsman.,  nor compare Tuchel & Naggelsman.

I don't think Bayern under Naggelsman were as poor as Chelsea under Potter., even if their CL records were comparable.

So it's not an apples to apples comparison there.

No but your logic was, if the coach that comes in for another one is a top manager, a "real" manager and top class, it will get better and he will get results. Bayern shows that this is not always the case.

I can guarantee you that every manager coming in atm would struggle, bc these players have written off the league mentally already. They just wouldnt perform no matter who the manager is. In their minds, they have already finished the season and are just preparing and training for next one. Its literally training games for them.

Appointing Lampard was listening to the fans?

Was considered a crowd pleaser. We shouldnt put too much focus on that interim stuff. Its literally not important at all. What is important is the next manager and the start of next season. This season ended in february.

Well in this case we can't even question that logic because Lampard isn't a better manager.

Yes, replacements maybe worse. It's a game of probabilities. I can also tell you that replacements could be better for the team. We've seen that with Aston Villa.

If Enrique came here and sucked, you are well within your rights to gloat. But please don't do that when we have a novice in charge.

So, now people really think that Potter would magically win the last 3 games and go on ungodly streak after months of suffering and losing if only he wasn't sacked? 😶

Performance-wise we are just shit as we would be under him and play the same players we would be playing. The unquestionable upside of the situation is that Boehly will hopefully let go of an idea of hiring Lampard full time as another Potter-esque attempt to prove some dumb point, instead of appointing real manager.

If Enrique came instead on lampard it would of been a disaster, and that's no way to start of a coaching job, nothing to fight for, players have given up this would be no quick fix, so 2 options either bring in your main target and watch it crumble before it even gets started, or do damage limitation stick a caretaker in and get this season over with and start a fresh with a pre season a clear head and a new coach, this move was actually very smart, we weren't winning anything this season and we won't get relegated so why start with a new manager now? And it's blatantly obvious why GP was sacked it was far to toxic, frank deserve atleast some credit for having the bollocks to take this impossible task on, because for all we know, no one eles might.
