There's hasn't been an official message from Napoli saying he's been sacked just a message from their president thanking Sarri on twitter. On the official Napoli site he's still listed as their coach. Always though it seemed a bit too easy. Why would Napoli sack him and not get the 8 million ? They know Sarri is in demand. Why pass up easy money ?
Costa19 858
He is still under contract even though Napoli signed Ancelotti. So either we negotiate the fee with ADL or we pay the release clause.

Bosnian Blue 2,471
So strange because Napoli have another coach already and these journos still speaking about a release clause. Makes no sense whatsoever. Unionjack

We wont pay Conte a big one time compensation but pay his weekly wage until he find himself a new job or his contract expires. Edit: Well @Superblue_1986 just said it perfectly. Why pass up easy money ? Yeah I've read this. Napoli have replaced him but not actually sacked him from the payroll. This is technically what we do with our coaches now when they leave, they are placed theoretically on a 'gardening leave' style agreement until they find a new job. The difference here is Napoli know he has value and therefore will want a fee to release him from his contract. It's worth Chelsea doing things above board with Napoli or finding an agreement that ADL is happy with. Napoli have some very good players, particularly in positions we're crying out for this summer (namely Koulibaly and Jorginho). Having Sarri would also give us the edge over attracting them in my opinion so we want to ensure we have a good relationship with Napoli moving forward in case we want to enter negotiations for one of their players. !Hazard! and Costa19
ChelseaFanUK 1,014
Sarri has been replaced yes, but is effectively on gardening leave. Still being paid by Napoli; Ancelotti is actually, contractually in some way, still tied to Bayern until May 31st. And until that date they're still paying him. So although he has been announced, paperwork wont have been filed yet as it cant until June 1st im guessing. Be like Conte getting sacked, and being announced tomorrow as taking over Barcelona for 2019/20 season. Although he has got a new job, we would still have to pay him until that job officially starts. Even though he has signed for Barca I think?!
Pizy 18,918
Wonder what the odds are on Mourinho having a typical Mourinho 3rd season, getting the sack after again finishing miles behind City, and then Antonio becoming their next manager. Would be typical Chelsea if Conte in some way comes back to haunt us in the PL. 11Drogba
!Hazard! 3,394
Let's see how the CL final goes. If Real gets beaten, there might be an opening in Madrid for Conte

And as we do seem to have a board of business people who dont understand fotball it will be written how it is the best payment plan for the club. Its all a big sad mess and I'll be happier when its all sorted. bigbluewillie

Ledg 643
If the rumors about Sarri wanting Higuain to come are true, I’m starting to dislike him even before he has signed the thing. He’s got worse targets than Conte. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Blusan Alamb

ChelseaFanUK 1,014
What's the odds tomorrow comes and goes and we get no definitive confirmation either way. lol Can just see it now! Although if Sarri and his people are in London having talks with us, Conte must surely know he is off? Or has been given some sort of heads up by our board via his agent etc ulsterchelsea
Bosnian Blue 2,471
Hopefully they learn from this. Next time insert a contract clause that says we can sack a manager if he doesnt finish TOP 4.
