The Next Manager?

Obviously he won't have total authority like Wenger or anything like that but I would hope our board and owner learned their lesson this season that signing a bunch of dudes the manager has never heard of or seen play is disastrous. I can understand our scouts or Emenalo going to Conte with a list of players that they feel would be good signings, but allow him absolute final say.

No more "board signings" or "Abramovich signings." Let the manager decide all incomings. What a strange idea, eh?

So Antonio will have to repeat the same miracle did at Juventus:turn a bunch of spoiled children in players/men, give a beautiful game to the team, win the league and save the chair of incompetent director.Luckily for you Conte loves challenges.

So - Conte hasn't made any decision WHERE hes going after Italia. Hes open to even staying in Italy with a Serie A club.

What a fuckin state of affairs.

Asked whether he will move to Chelsea after Euro 2016, he said:

“For me it’s not a taboo subject, I can also speak about Italian clubs too. I will consider the choices on offer whether in Italy or abroad. The only thing I can confirm is that I’m not going to go to another national team as I miss club management.

“Everyone would like to work in the English Premier League ... it is normal for me too. I can talk about Chelsea, no problem; but now I’m focused on Italy. ”

Conte is wise enough not sign any contract with Chelsea now. Why should he if he's not promised in a written agreement that he will have a huge war chest and have the power to buy and sell players without interference from Emenalo or the Board?

I agree but youd have thought that by now that would be one of the important points in his contract and it would have been the 1st thing sorted after he would obviously been in touch with Mou - well IF he had an ounce of sense.
