The Next Manager?

If Pep goes to City or United and Hiddink change this season from nightmare to great, maybe isn't bad to stick with Hiddink for another year or two? Drogba/Terry/Lampard to be assistant manager and to learn from Hiddink, not bad at all in my opinion.

Hiddink will turn this season around without any doubt but don't stick with him because we will need to sack him next season.

One far fetched scenario will be Hiddink wins us the CL thus qualifying automatically next season. We come back strong in the league impressing our fans, board and Roman. Hiddink is given another two years to rebuild for a new era bringing in a few youth into the first XI.

Giving him a temporary job is correct at this point, but if he do a good job, I dont ser any reason to find another man, unless he is Guardiola.

It is heart breaking to see Chelsea in such a mess while man city is going from strength to strength in how it they're run :-(

Imagine how City fans must feel right now. Likely to win the league this season, CL campaign going well enough, have an owner that doesn't give a shit about FFP and will spend whatever it takes, and now they have Pep Guardiola coming in next season.

They missed out on the title last season by 8 points and have now set themselves up brillinatly for the future. We won the league at a canter and have taken a massive step back and could be rebuilding for a couple of years.

Don't think there's a club in Europe with a brighter future than them. :(

And still at the end nobody cares.

When they win no one cares. It's all about United or Liverpool.

A small team that no one will care unless they win the CL back to back.

Oh, fuck off!

Exposed last season as Wenger-light. Tactically inept when things go against him. Can't adapt his tactics and can set his teams out in basically one way and one way only.

Just look at our approach when we played Atletico and look at Simeone's approach. That shows the difference between Mourinho and Simeone. There is defending but there is something where you attack with numbers and in style.

True. Terrified for Simeone turning into Mourinho mk. II but it would really just be like Mourinho at his best rather than his worst.

You see it that way ? And I remember last year we were the best run club, winning the league and making profit.

With money there are enormous expectations. City imploded once already in 12-13 season. They scrapped win against Swansea last week. Can concede 4 against Tottenham and Liverpool, lose against West Ham and against in crysis Juventus at home. It's really not that rosy. And they still didn't figure out how to deal with those injuries.

Our board did a phenomenal job last season and then completely failed to build on it this past summer.

Despite all the issues you described, they're still in perfect position to compete for the league.

Not true at all. You are comparing one of oour most unbalanced teams ever with Atleticos best year in the last couple of decades. Which is neither indicative nor fair in the comparison between the two managers.

Mourinho's first squad would tear that Atletico apart...
