Drogzola 283
I am glad to see this as it shows that RDM has a plan and direction that he wants to take this new squad.

Amblève. 4,995
Malouda has just posted on Twitter that this is indeed his last Chelsea season. He tweeted - "This is where I'll train for my last season with the blues !!!" and then posted this picture: (a tad embarrassing):Embarrassing... he should be part of the first team. Slam Dunk 1,442
Can understand the anger towards us making a once-key player train with the U21s, but he was likely told a long time ago that he was no longer in the club's plans and was free to leave. He was in contact with a number of clubs but wouldn't drop his wage demands. If he wants to stay and leave on a free then he is better off being nowhere near the first team squad instead of slowing the progress of younger players who will be here for the long run. Harsh, but justified IMO. blueblood22, chelseathebest and Drogzola

Around this time last year, we were slamming AVB for doing the same with Alex and Anelka and now you're praising RDM?! bababoom 4,478
He's only got himself to blame, with all the new players we bought in the summer, and considering we're not going to renew his contract, he must of known he wasn't going to be played at all, he could've gone to France or Brazil, but he didn't want to lower his wages. Our midfield squad depth just became threadbare by tossing him into the U21s. And what's the point of us registering him into the PL squad if we were gonna do that?! I'm also disappointed he would rather not play and collect his massive wages instead of actually playing football... oh well. chelseathebest

Last season we were affected by it and this could potentially happen again especially when Malouda is close to a few others.

I'm not going to praise anyone for this decision, but i also do not feel sorry for Malouda. He's been told he could leave the club for a while now, but kept pushing clubs away with his wage demands. We Hate Scouse 10,326
He could have been playing first team football if he wasn't so greedy. He put money first and is paying the consequences. I feel no sorrow for him and think it's the right move to make. Why should he train with the first team, if he has no place in the first team? Duppy Conqueror 1,537
it has seemed for quite some time that he was no longer needed. when the club tried to sell him he came out and said he would definately be at chelsea for this season. well he is here,so be happy flo.he`s being paid weekly more than the majority of us gets in a year to kick a football around with kids. there has been too many players here in recent years who think they have a devine right for special treatment when their play no longer warrants it.if i was being forced to pay his wages when i wanted to sell him but he chose to drag his feet so he could continue to get paid and prevent me from getting money in return for him..i wouldn`t give him the honour of being allowed at Cobham. he`d be clearing out my pool every morning, weeding my garden and shining my shoes. he made his own bed. now he`ll have to sleep in it. chelseathebest 150
Tbh, there is no place for Malouda in the first team, he is just too bad.It is his own fault, he had possibility to go to some other club but he was too greedy about the money. It was his choice... Jase 43,479
Like who?Mikel. The point here is that he has been here for a number of years now and is bound to have good relationships with some of the players and tossing him into U21 team like yesterday's garbage is not going to benefit the team. And every year, we always seem to create or have some sort of problem with squad unity.

You're reading too much into it imo, Malouda in the reserves should not affect anyone - mainly because it's his fault he's there.

And if you say I'm reading too much into it, then aren't we all reading too much into that he has been thrown into the U21 team because of the wages?! Maybe it's because of something else that we don't know about! No one from the club has come out to say anything yet...
