Amblève. 4,995
Brana played midweek as did luiz and luiz is not injured.Thank you. This is something that really pisses me off. Why does Benitez keep changing our back-4 ALL THE TIME?! If there's one area where you absolutely need consistency it's your fucking defense. Styles 9,790
If this club was run by smart people we would cash in on Ivanovic this summer and replace him with any one of our highly promising young CBs. But considering the idiots in charge it's more likely he'll get a contract renewal than be replaced. He has been terrible for almost the entire season and has been replaced by a much better RB in Azplicueta. Peace. 4,352
I do wonder how one can go from being pretty good to being fairly poor, in only two months. I'd like to know what he did during his holidays...He is so casual. I don't know, he gets easily effaced by the opponents, no sense of hurry. He provides poor clearances and passes. And at times, because of his reckless attitude when on the ball, he allows the opposition to put pressure on our back-four and Petr Cech. At the moment, he is a liability — yes he is. He has been average at best, since the start of the pre-season, and today is not the first time that he is to be blamed for a goal conceded. He really needs to improve, otherwise... The only place to be 11,313
Up until the Swansea League Cup game, I thought he'd been one of our more solid players. But since those two errors (which I defended at the time as one-offs) he's dropped off considerably and although he's not the only one it's been fairly noticeable with him.His versatility and the years of good service should see him survive the summer but he really needs to buck his ideas up because Kalas and Omeruo will be snapping at his heels. OneMoSalah 8,886
Seems to me that most of the senior players here have took their foot off the pedal after winning the Champions League last season. You look at our defenders this season. Apart from Azpilicueta, a new signing this season, the rest of them have been rubbish most of the time or at some point during the season. It's like they don't even bother trying anymore because they have already won everything there is to win here, the PL, FA Cup, CL etc.Maybe someone needs to come in and do what Guardiola did at Barca, sold Deco, Belleti, Ronaldinho, Eto'o, Henry etc or what AVB tried and bleed them out. Some of our senior players could as well go this summer if Roman wants to do it in fact. They have been utter bullshit this season. The amount of times Bran, JT, Cole and Lampard have looked shit this season is ridiculous. Jay Rodriguez destroyed JT and Bran today and hes one of the most average players in the league. Either that or give them a boot up the arse Fergie style. The Mak, The only place to be, Rubber bullets and 1 other
The Skipper 20,609
He had a poor game again today but he's not helped by the fact that we never keep a consistent back four. It's like building a wall and then destroying it over and over again. I feel that at any top club you need to have a consistent defence, especially a CB partnership. Benitez hasn't done that at all this season and that's one of the main reasons why our defence has looked so clueless at times this season; there is no chemistry anymore. manpe
OneMoSalah 8,886
Highlighted in pre-season he looked awful, has been more exposed recently but hes not been great this season at all.
Bosnian Blue 2,471
Actually Dave was pretty poor today, nobody mentions that. Oscar was dreadful, yet people go on and slate Lamps. Moses was probably the worst player on the pitch, but Marin gets the stick...Yes, Bane is having a bad season, but his game is just a reflection of the whole team. He is not even a problem comparing to the utter shit we're in.

He is not even a problem comparing to the utter shit we're in.Azpilicueta wasn't even poor by any means. Wasn't great but certainly not poor like the others. And to say Ivanovic is not even a problem in the mess we're in now is somewhat ridiculous. He may not be mainly at fault for all of our problems but he's certainly one of the problems. We have conceded a fair amount of goals this season as a result of his woeful passive defending and the goals conceded yesterday simply added to the list. He's not even being affected by the overall team performance as his own individual performance has already been rubbish since pre-season! BowtiesAreCool 16
Didn't watch the match but judging by all of your reactions, we should sell him. Have Dave as our main RB and maybe have Sam Hutchinson as cover if not bringing back the likes of Kalas.

Milan 17,957
He was great today. Even though the United attackers were quicker, he got the better of them by great tackling and using his power. Just play like this Ivan!
Leif 6,006
Oh. Crap. I might get flamed for this after looking at the above comments, but I thought he wasn't very good today. All those times Hernandez got in behind him and then the fact he let Van Persie stroll around freely in the box had me biting my nails more than I should have!It was an improvement in general today, and as a defensive unit I guess we were pretty solid, but I wouldn't say today he was faultless or anything. Jase 43,479
A much better and improved performance from him. At least he was being intelligent today in dealing with United and not letting his lack of pace being exposed. Used his experience and read the game well. Keep it up please! xPetrCechx and Blue Armour
AndersonBLUE 819
lol my mate (Chelsea fan) met him near the bridge after Ivanovich was hanging around for someone to go get lunch, he asked about his goal against Sunderland and he just laughed
