At this point we don’t want to finish in the Europa Conference places, whatever those are. I don’t even know.

A “clean” season next time where we can focus solely on the PL would be beneficial. Having to travel to random countries to play a bunch of clubs nobody has ever heard of and risk injuries sounds miserable.

Only way we get Europa League proper from here is if we sack Potter soon and a top coach instantly turns us around.

Europa and conference league are a good way to bleed in youngsters, especially in those early rounds against Bodo Glimt. Nketiah was fit and ready to replace Jesus because he was playing Europa since Sept. It is the difference between your B team playing every week or waiting for the cup match every month.

I don't buy that we need a 'clean' season. That's like saying we should get relegated so we can have a 'clean' promotion. We should always achieve the best we can that's why end of your comment makes perfect sense.

What i like the most with Potter is that he is doing all the logical expected moves even majority of fans wanted.

Dropped 3 atb system and is now playing long time favourite 4231

After Fulham everyone wanted to see Mount and Gallagher benched and he did it.

Same with Cucurella after WH.

And now dropped Havertz.

Unfortunately results are still missing. But the positive is that he sees what all of us see which cannot be said about many previous stubborn managers we had.

He definitely did some of the things we wanted in the lineup. He moved to a 4 man defense too.

But being a good manager is more than just selecting a starting 11 or changing the formation.

There are levels to everything. The players that played yesterday seemed unaware of what their roles were, especially off the ball.

Granted that Southampton changing their manager right before this game could have thrown people off., but you shouldn't let the bottom team in the league come and dictate your play at home.

Anyway - this season is lost. I don't think there's anyone out there that is exciting enough, who would join. We should have just kept Tuchel.

I'm more interested in his last comments, about this whole thing not being his fault. Who's fault is it then, Potter?

Liverpool,  even United have progressed and developed in the game and their results, only we have been digging the bottom since September  without any bright ray of hope

Liverpool were in a 'crisis' except there's is less now and 6 behind 4th with a game in hand...theyve left us behind

And to add to my comment about him not giving proper instructions to the players on what to do off the ball -

In the first 15 mins of the game our front 3 were mostly standing several feet away from the Saints back 4, easily giving them time to play out from the back (the opposite of what they did to us). It took us another 20 minutes before DDF, Mount and Madueke started doing the same.

Maybe he occasionally does have the right ideas - but what's the point if you can't execute? Are we going to keep spending time and money changing players till we get him a first 11 that fully understands his intentions?

Funny how all it took was a win against Everton for them to come surging back.

The fact that Potter thought it was okay to rotate heavily again when we've only had 3 wins since October, is laughable.

These kind of results not only destroy the teams confidence, but also could reduce their faith in him.

And this is a problem because we have a whole bunch of new players too. It's not like you can pin the blame on the old lot, and say they'll be moved on anyway.

Watching all these clubs that we were miles better than just last season completely leave us in the dust is so embarrassing. Ten Hag in particular having a transformative effect on that group of jokers who last season were called the worst side in their clubs’ history puts us to shame.

And all these media outlets on Twitter pointing out week after week that “such and such individual player has now scored more goals than Chelsea as an entire team” is humiliating.

Every other big club is currently flying whilst we’re in the gutter with no signs that change is imminent. Liverpool were right there in the mud with us just a couple of weeks ago but even they have suddenly switched back on and have something to chase.

Theyve managed something we haven't for months which is 2 in a row.. and scored 2 goals which we haven't done! And plus a game in hand for them so the belief definitely will be there..I think they'll make it.

Maybe one day we can kick start something but it won't be shooting us up the table. Was interesting fighting with Liverpool for 10th now they've gone.

Shit manager.

If given a chance, he may well get us relgated next season, as I can see us once again perhaos making poor transfers.

Nkunku surely must be thing about somehow getting out of coming here. Sub zero chance Osimhen comes here. Same for Barella. Same for the struggling atm Vlahovic. Toney, like most of the TC board says, may well be banned from football soon, at least for a year or two.

If these figures are correct, then it would explain why moving to another manager would be difficult. Especially this season.

"We paid a release clause for Graham Potter to get him out of Brighton. (£22m) then gave him (£12m) per year, (£60m) in total to make him one of the highest paid managers. Why? Would he have rejected £8/9m? All his staff’s wages/clauses. Speechless situation."

And Brighton chief laughed and thought "Only fools and horses". And soon entire Premier League followed.

Sorry ”bruv” but you are ignorant as feck now.

No doubt you can walk outside and have a chat with old Tom about yesterday game. But do you think its your conversation that made Boehly buy the club? Do you think its the match attending fans who make PL the worlds most attractive league?

No its not.

Why Boehly bought the club and why PL is the Nr. 1 league in the world is because of the millions of million people who cares and watch the games from abroad every single week and weekend. The same ”internet fans” who gladly stand up for the club in their workplaces, in the school yard, on internet forums or wherever it might be.

Alot of the ”internet fans” are paying hundreds of punds every year for TV subscriptions to be able to watch the games and they buy merch and other stuff.

Now, there is also ”internet fans” who watch the games on pirate streams because they might not have the money needed for TV subscription. But they will happily take a punch in the face defending the club from Scouse or Arse abuse somewhere in Cacun or Beirut.

If anything its the fortunate match attending fans who should take a big look in the mirror and instead of beeing swanky about it focus on how they can contribute to make the atmosphere better because right now its a distaster and certaintly one of the reasons the team is performing bad at home.

This is so funny bruv it's unreal hundreds of pounds ha ha while proper fans are paying a  hundred pound for an AA game and have to factor in train fares, food, beer etc and we all know that nearly all internet fans watch football on illegal streams and don't pay a penny. How do you contribute mate and I don't mean buying a polo shirt from the megastore ?

Being a grown man and spending a tonne of money following football is nothing to be proud of. The match going lot should focus on creating an actual atmosphere instead of pretending they are superior online. I remember those fools blaming Hazard and fabregas for getting Jose sacked.

Your calling Chelsea fans fools !! and I spend my money on following my team bruv how do you follow Chelsea on the internet fact.
