Overall they were mediocre as fuck

Just like any other team that Enrique has managed, except for MSN's Barcelona.

He was Barcelona's version of Zinedine Zidane during that era. A manager that was just the right fit for a unique group of players.

But when it came to building something on his own, he failed miserably. At least Zidane never had the chance to do that, so it's still a mistery if he can do it.

People like to romanticize that Barcelona comeback against PSG, when Enrique was managing them, but remember that they lost 4-0 in the 1st leg! Also, the comeback was more of a miracle than some sort of tactical masterclass.

I don't like Enrique and I would rather have Conte back than him managing Chelsea.

The opening game was against Costa Rica though.

And that was the only game they won at the tournament, having drawn against Germany and losing to both Japan and Morocco. Overall they were mediocre as fuck and while the squad was definitely worse than some of the Spain teams in the past they still seriously underperformed under Enrique at the World Cup.

Fair enough. They did struggle in the WC but he's the closest in ideas, style to Pep. I'd take him over Nagelsmann - will Nagelsmann who is 35 and younger than Potter work with this squad?

I remember some dodgy penalties going their way

No winning really, if he was too soft they will jump all over it like they have done, or if he was too firm they would moan.

Not defending Potter but todays modern footballers are over paid pandered too fucking wankers

They are paid hundreds of thousands of pounds per week to act professional and respectful, not to mock people because of their names.

Yet, I couldn't expect less from so-called "professionals" who are just uneducated and immature brats, after all.
