'He won't change clubs': Emerson Palmieri's agent confirms Chelsea left back will not be leaving the Blues following links with Juventus

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7868583/Emerson-Palmieris-agent-confirms-Chelsea-left-not-leaving.html

Looking really likely we are stuck with him, Alonso, and the utterly-woeful-at-LB Azpi till summer, and if we miss on Chilwell, maybe for next season as well.

If Pep says at Shitty, our chances on Chilwell are shitty indeed, as he has publicly said he has always wanted to play for Guardiola, who is very unhappy with his LB's, all 3 of them.

The media sure likes linking Chelsea with players who failed spectacularly moving to their current big clubs. First Gabigol and now Lemar. I would sure hope our club isn't stupid enough for either of those.

I remember Lemar being fiercely lusted after before he went to Atleti. Didn't Arsenal bid some monster amount for him? I think United were after him hard as well. Looks like both dodged a bullet.

I fully believe this fernandes rumour is planted news. Maybe they aren't playing ball over Diop and it's classic marina saying we will steal your top target if you don't play ball...

could be right. I didnt buy the Gedson rumour from the first minute.

WERNER!!!
https://theathletic.com/1512735/2020/01/09/january-transfer-window-signings-tracker-2020/?source=shared-article

Chelsea transfer target Timo Werner has a release clause worth at least €50 million (£42.6 million) in his contract but won’t leave RB Leipzig until the summer, reports Simon Johnson.

Werner is one of the main names on Chelsea’s wish-list to improve their options up front, yet any deal will have to wait until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old is the second highest scorer in the Bundesliga this season on 18 goals, with Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski just one ahead of him.

Werner inserted a release clause when he agreed a new four-year deal in August, but sources have told The Athletic that neither the player or the club will agree to a move mid-season.

Chelsea are just one of a number of teams who have expressed an interest and it is understood the Germany international would consider a move to the Premier League.

However, Werner will only want to join a club where he is guaranteed regular first-team football. It is believed he has already rejected an approach from Liverpool last year due to the presence of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino citing ‘There is no space for me to play’.

Paris Saint-Germain coach Thomas Tuchel is also an admirer, however he already has Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, Mauro Icardi and Edinson Cavani to choose from.

Bayern Munich have been suggested in some quarters as the favourites to secure his signature having made an inquiry to purchase him last summer.

Werner had agreed personal terms with Bayern but the Bundesliga club never made an offer to RB Leipzig. They couldn’t decide where he would play in the side and opted to pursue Manchester City’s Leroy Sane instead.

Sources suggest the forward was unhappy with the way things were conducted and it will count against them should they try again in future.

Chelsea ideally want to buy a striker in January to improve competition for Tammy Abraham. It will allow Olivier Giroud, who is wanted by a number of sides including Inter Milan, Crystal Palace and Newcastle, to leave having started just three matches this season.

The west London club have had an offer for Lyon striker Moussa Dembele worth £34 million rejected. Club president Jean-Michel Aulas said: “Dembele will not leave because he wants to stay to win something with Lyon. There have been offers for him and for other players, but none of those that we want to keep will leave in January.”

Aulas has issued such strong denials over selling one of Lyon’s players before only to change his mind when a much higher offer is made. Chelsea know this having successfully paid £24 million for Michael Essien in 2005.

Dembele would be considered more of a back-up to Abraham though, whereas Werner is seen as one of Europe’s best young strikers.

What Chelsea do could have an impact on contract negotiations with Abraham. As The Athletic reported last month, negotiations have stalled as the England international is not only asking for similar wages to that of Callum Hudson-Odoi (whose basic salary is an initial £120,000-a-week), but he is also waiting to see if, and what level of striker, joins.

The 22-year-old has scored 14 goals in 25 starts this season and after becoming a mainstay in Frank Lampard’s side, will understandably be reluctant to lose his place in the line-up.

Lemar is another Bakayoko of that Monaco side.

Lemar, Bakayoko and Mendy turns out to be horrible.

Let's wait a little longer but Sidibe doesn't look good either.

Fabinho and B. Silva are showing their worth and have been top signings.

Mbappe is out of the world category. Last night he almost scored one of the most beautiful goals ever...

Sidibe is pretty poor too, but was never hyped like Mendy, so less disappointing.

proof for anyone with doubt, our offer never existed.

It was all rubbish, like 98% of the transfer tripe pushed out. A clear indicator of bullshit is when the same player is quoted as costing or being sold or being offered at multiple and varying price points that go up and down like the temperature. Alonso is a perfect example, as is Werner. It is all rot. Giroud has been offered to half of Europe if you believe the press, and Real Madrid would have an 80 player squad worth 6 or 7 billion euros.

I posted it before one of my replies was even to you

, plus iTV said Chilwell was waiting to see if Pep stayed

I also saw a video interview with him and he said he would love to play for him in the future if it ever broke that way but right now he was 100% thinking only of Leicester

Here is another link, it also refers to it

Chelsea target Ben Chilwell to delay transfer decision because of Pep Guardiola

Chelsea and Manchester City are set to compete for the signature of Leicester ace Ben Chilwell as a transfer battle threatens to break out

The Catalan coach is rumoured to leave the Etihad at the end of the season and Chilwell is keen on being coached by the former Barcelona boss.

That does not rule the Blues out, though, as Frank Lampard’s strong affiliation to young, English players has intrigued Chilwell.

plus Pep tapped him up last season (there are a tonne of articles about it)

I absolutely think that if Pep stays and it is a battle between us and Shitty, we are in deep trouble, especially if they have CL and we do not

you of course are free to disagree and think we have a clear run at him

I hope, if that is what you truly think, that you are right and I am wrong, as so far I see 100% of our future LB eggs in the Chilwell basket

Not disagreeing or anything, just want proof because I haven't seen him explicitly say what you claimed.

Of course it may not work out the same way again but if you're worried about City getting him especially if we don't have CL football, think Jorginho and maybe even Kante.

Sarri was a large factor with Jorginho I would think

Kante was indeed a coup after that disaster of a 2015-16 season

I really want Pep gone, lol

Barca are a mess atm (ironically Real Madrid and ZZ have righted themselves)

Even Messi is in a bit of a funk

I do not think Valverde makes it through the year at the rate he is going
