Not sure we will have a £100m to spend before sales. I reckon it is more likely we will have somewhere between £30-50m after last seasons net of £100m. Cannot see us doing two seasons back to back.

At the moment we have approximately £55m from fees and we probably can still get decent money for Tammy (if we do find a CF) and Zouma. Some of the following players will probably raise a little but I am not sure it will be as many as people think. Baka, Bats, Drinky, RLC, Barkley are all sunk costs in my opinion so don't expect anything other than a loan for them.

Imo, we will probably have approximately £150-£175m to spend in fees. If Kounde is brought I think we can all forget about Håland.

AV is in -300m from the beginning of summer 2019 transfer window. We are not that far away from zero net spent in the same period. Man. Utd also over 250m pounds net spend in this period.

2019 is only a three year period, normally it would be run on five years, that that would be Summer's 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 accounted together. Additionally, bar last season, the club have run things pretty tight. Cannot see them going crazy again with another mega spend.

I understand we have to sell but we need to bring in Tchoumani and Kounde this week. We need to give them enough time to play and build chemistry with the rest of the team. Some of our problems last season were due to lack of a pre season for our new signings. Sell the cast offs after buying.

Saw this little column from Fabrizio interesting he says no chance for Lukaku and Lewandowski but still keeps an open door for Haaland, of course with the same crazy offer needed.

  • Chelsea
    • No chance to sign either Lewandowski or Lukaku
    • Hence, Chelsea are all in on Haaland
      • Dortmund yet to receive an offer or be formally approached
      • Only a crazy offer would tempt Dortmund (not even 150 million Euros would make them budge).

That’s quite mad, I mean, from my own perspective I thought £130m was enough. But seeing the figures around, including fees and such, mental. But we are in this position of our own making to be honest, it is what it is. We are not going to be in a stronger position than we are now, as UCL winners, same as 2012.

I said this ages ago, much like others, do we have any concerns with Tuchel? No, we are all concerned with the board doing the right thing and backing our winning manager.

Irrespective of that....there are many ways to skin a cat...the fact that no world class striker in the market...the fund that will price Haaland away is fucking insane no club I repeat no club will drop that kind cash especially by January he will be available to go for significantly less price...

My point is that we have little to no chance if we let it get to next summer, sadly.

Absolutely...but we are at where we are...the best scenario is either sign some one like Martinez of Inter his link up play is amazing and hoping all other attacking players significantly improve or a prolific goal scoring midfielder...

£130m wasn't ever doing it. Dortmund know what they have got and have a history of turning down money when they know one year down the line they will never get as much. It'll be €175m or not happening.

According to this from The Athletic on Lukaku...

https://theathletic.com/2744923/2021/08/02/Chelsea-havent-given-up-on-return-for-romelu-lukaku/

- The club have made two bids for Lukaku so far, showing the strong signal of intent and an indication of where the club now see the chances of getting Haaland

- Indications at the moment are that the club haven't given up but a deal will be difficult to complete at this point of the transfer window

- Lukaku is genuinely happy at Inter and in Serie A, where he feels more appreciated than he did in the Premier League

- The departure of Conte hasn't unsettled Lukaku, nor the possible sale of strike partner Martinez

- If there is one club he would move back to England for, it would be Chelsea but the urge is not as strong as it was in 2017

- Club still feel they have a chance of making this happen because Inter still have issues financially

- Lukaku won't push for a move back to London. Up to the club to persuade Inter to sell

- One source in Italy feels Inter will sign Duvan Zapata to replace Lukaku while another source says Lukaku will stay with Martinez making way instead

- It will be difficult for Inter to cash in on Lukaku, who has said he wants to stay, knowing the fans won't be in a forgiving mood

- Don't be surprised if the club make a 3rd attempt for Lukaku
