He only wants to play for Pool. Seems to be a fan of that club, so no chance.

It seems like Liverpool are still debating over the move because of the fee. If they can't afford it, we should go for it, just like we did with Werner!

It's all about intelligences and positioning. He's still world class in those two attributes. He'll get into trouble here and there if he's isolated by a pacey forward player but more often than not he won't allow himself to get into those situations.

I'm extremely curious who his CB partner will be.

My money is on AC being his partner. I say this because a) AC is the only one of the three that knows how to play the offside trap and b ) it looks like the club think he has a lot of potential and don't want to lose him.

Of the current unholy trinity of Zouma, Rudi and AC. My money is on Zouma being sold as he would still command a decent fee and I am not sure he has any chance of developing further as he has essentially been playing the same way since he was 19.

It's funny and kinda strange that entering the summer the number 1 position that needed to be addressed most urgently was goalkeeper. But it appears as though that's going to be the very last position we will sign. 😂

And what's stranger is that there haven't been any concrete links to any keepers. Just loose links to Onana who if we seriously wanted could surely have been a Chelsea player a long time ago. Maybe the club are finding it impossible to find a new home for Kepa even on loan and that's what is preventing us signing a new keeper?

We cannot sign anyone because we spunked £141m on Kepa. I wouldn't be surprised if the board are saying that Kepa has to stay and try to play his way into form. In my opinion, the best we will get is someone like Foster who is reliable.

Also, just for the record, I have zero faith in Kepa and was saying months ago he will be seen as the biggest waste of money in Chels history bar none.  So, I am not saying this as a Kepa supporter, I am saying it as a realist.

My money is on Zouma because he is our most physical and most natural defender. Also speaks french and Zouma will understand everything that Thiago says to him.

Silva is a perfect bridge to Ampadu while also being a top 5-10 center half in the premier league. Give me that all day every day

If Ampadu is going to make it, i see him as a DMF more than a CB, at least at the present

So Chilwell and Silva seem all but done. If we can finally get Havertz over the line (which I'm still nervous as fuck about) and can get even a solid, not even spectacular keeper this will be the greatest transfer window in our history. Perfect blend of young talent who are not even near their primes yet and veterans who have seen it all.

And we can have most of our business done and dusted before some big clubs even do anything of note. Liverpool have signed a backup LB. City have signed a couple of decent but not top class players. Arse have signed 32 year old Willian and are about to sign an uncapped Brazillian who was wanted by nobody else but Everton really. Spuds have signed an average midfielder from Southampton. United have signed nobody at all.

If all these signings click from the start we have something special.
