So no Saudi for Osimhen after all that. Seems hard to believe that he’ll go to Galatasaray permanently as much as he loved them. He’s WAY too good to stay there at his age.

So where to? PSG? United for some silly wage?

Is anything known about why he turned down the Saudi move? It can't simply be the money since he won't get anywhere near the same offer elsewhere. Might it just be for his negotiating integrity? Has he maybe said I won't take any less than x amount, and then felt forced to walk away when he wasn't offered what he had asked for?

Interesting to see what next in this multi-season drama.

English wingers by valuation (I did not include Cole, but is so he is number 2, only behind Saka in terms of valuation)

Bukayo Saka
Phil Foden
Anthony Gordon
Morgan Rogers
Ethan Nwaneri
Jamie Gittens
Marcus Rashford
Noni Madueke
Jarrod Bowen
Mason Greenwood
Harvey Barnes
Jadon Sancho
Jack Grealish
Callum Hudson-Odoi
Tyler Dibling
Dwight McNeil

If these valuations are correctly ranked, and accurately reflect consistent real game contributions, then six from the top, and six places above Sancho, isn't bad. I'm not encouraged by BVB's stance mind you. They aren't really fighting to keep him, and I would expect them to if he is of the calibre to make a really good impact in the Premier League.

Maybe a big European club has been in his ear telling him they want him? That’s the only thing I can think of.

PSG with Kvara, Barcola, Doue, Dembele, Ramos doesn't need another star, who has questionable attitude

They rejected a decent offer for him and they are holding out for the fee they want (closer to 50 million)

From what I've seen in their transfer history, they tend to sell players for decent profits every season as they are pretty good at picking up replacement talents. Dembele, Pulisic, Haaland, Bellingham, Sancho being the biggest sales in the past few seasons.

But, over the years, they've fought to keep selected players like Reus, Bellingham, Dembele, Lewandowski, Gotze, and Hummels, for example. The are not fighting to keep Gittens. They are just haggling for the best price they can get.

From what I read he was amazing before the new manager came in and just doesn’t fit his system

City and Real Madrid have now done just about all of their business (and very good business, too) before the CWC starts. Plus the new UCL winners are in the competition. I don’t see us getting anywhere near this trophy.

The club briefed all these journalists like a month ago or more that we were going to push super hard to get most of our business done before June 10th. So much for that…

So long as they just get the deals done I’ll be happy. We already have a huge squad for the CWC anyway.

We would haggle over a few million for Maignan yet likely go well beyond the first offer we’ve made for Gittens without hesitation (mixed feelings about going for him)….

Give Milan another 4 or 5 million and get it done as a good GK is absolutely critical for us. Then a top CB next.

Can worry about which up and coming attackers we are going to sign once we get those key positions sorted. Would say Delap signing ends any hopes of a top CF though.
