Romano said what is going on with Chels and Osimhen one one side versus Napoli is absloute madness, crazier than anyone can imagine

sorta sounds like physical violence perhaps went down

all his old school contacts in Italy say it is the craziest shit they have seen in decades

Yeah and that the relationship between Osimhen and Napoli is completely broken.

Imagine him staying now 😂

Doesn't surprise me with Napoli tbh, ultimately let them keep him on his ridiculous wages there and being pushed out for Conte's son.

their is absolute hatred between Osimhen and Napoli top leaders and the Poison Dwarf

This is why you NEVER deal with De Laurentiis. The guy pisses everyone off. Buying clubs, selling clubs, his coaches, and his players.

Just don’t deal with the bastard after this window.

I agree with the clubs approach of offering sensible base salaries with lucrative add ons based on personal + team performance. No doubt if we qualify for CL and he scores lots of goals he becomes one of the best paid players in the world. If not, he earns a sensible base salary for a player that is not as good as he thought he was. If you back yourself to perform, you take the contract. If you don't, you've got a weak mentality and aren't joining for the right reasons.

offering sensible salaries is all good, but not when we are trying to buy one of the best strikers in europe and probably the best one whos avaliable and wants to join. offering him lower wages than he already has is madness.

everyone is here bitchin about buying 16yo brazilians and once we are trying to buy a player in his prime you think we can give him the same low contract as for those young unproven kids? thats not how it works in the real world.

We are the only club in Europa that actually wants him. Doesnt this make u suspicious?

no

Maybe some folks here just got wiser. Same could be said about Lukaku a while ago. There's probably a reason why Napoli want to bin this guy and replace him with the very Lukaku himself. Any sort of performance in leagues like Italy mean nothing. Nothing. And it's not like he is a injury-resistant player in his best form atm.

its fine if they dont want to give massive salaries anymore. but then dont go after players in their prime who have a certain status. this guy allegedly had a 20-30-40 milliom monthly wage offered to him and now you all expect that its normal to give him numerous times less than that?

I'm glad you're not in charge of negotiations, I'll say that much!

that super low wage offer from us was a lie

Romano confirmed it was bullshit (and especially when click merchants tagged HIS name to it)

i guess you want to buy players without offering them acceptable wages. they would laugh at you if you were in charge.

The clubs approach has worked pretty well so far, sure Michael Olise picked another option but that was not just based on wages, also guaranteed titles and CL football, biggest team in Germany etc. Didn't stop Felix or others signing and taking pay cuts. Sancho going to do the same.

Club has reduced wage bill drastically and has a clear philosophy on wages that nearly all players buy into, only those with a weak mentality (don't back themselves to deliver) or want to join purely for money object to it.

At any rate, as far as we can see at the moment the blocker is more Napoli than our negotiation with VO.

While I agree with you that if the club has conviction about a top player, they should offer wages compatible with his ambition, or we just accept we are no longer an elite club.

However, I see the first part as almost completely separated from the top player talk. You have to do both. Yes, the potential signing feels overdone by the new owners, and it seems to be already backfiring a bit with Washington and others.

Has it though? what's the measure? Silverware? Top4 qualification?

I heard the same about last season's squad, and yet the same owners have been pretty much changing everything once again. So, which one is it? Was last season the right approach or this is?
