Doubt there will be anything before wednesday or thursday

This is what winds me up, along with the deal taking so long anyway, is that there is no appetite to give the incoming player the best chance at success off the bat, Brighton know this. Reminds me of Torres being flown in, signed and then had a terrible debut against Liverpool, the weight of expectation, no cohesion etc.

If Arsenal hadn't won yesterday on pure jam, the headlines today would have all been about Kai and Rice, rightly so. Arsenal had the same pattern of play time and time again, I really cannot see them doing a ton this year and will rely on UCL.

Torres' problem in his debut and beyond was simply the fact he was a rubbish footballer.

The Tyler Adams move still has me confused. The long term starting pairing will *crosses fingers* be Enzo + Caicedo. Then we have THREE quality teenagers in Andrey, Casadei, and now Ugochukwu who play in CM/DM. It’s already going to be an issue finding space for all these guys.

So adding Adams who is still just 24 makes things even more of a headache in the long term. For this season specifically where we can use his PL experience it makes sense, I suppose. But what happens if Casadei and Ugo have extremely impressive loans and Andrey really impresses while staying here? We’ll have loads of midfielders then who all are good enough to be playing regularly and not enough minutes to go around.

My point is that it didn't help.

If this is truly all over being £5-10m apart then Moises should hand a transfer request in and forego any signing fees, right? Not turning this on it's head but I'm saying if he's that desperate to leave, why wouldn't his agent advise that? Ah right, because that same agent who brokered the extension, would get less money.. Of course!

Only Keeper and CF where we will potentially pay big in the near future(although may not need too if our young grow good there)

Sure Caicedo is overpriced,we could have got another good DM/CM plus another good player at another position for his likely cost but overall i'd say we are ahead due to players we've got as bargains in the current market, our investment in young players and players coming through our youth system far outweighs paying 30m or so over the odds for Caicedo. And we still likely to buy 1-3 others.

I seen Caicedo play, his nowhere near worth that kind of value, we again being taken for a ride and also again by the same club.

A host of PL players have gone for much more than they're actually worth over the past few seasons. Rice's move to Arsenal set the precedent this summer.
