He was at Cobham 2 years he's not our youth product he was an Arsenal youth product. We are just going to capitalize on his potential.

Semantics. He came through Cobham is what I meant., and he's been with the club since 2008.

And that's BEFORE he even went to Arsenal after rejoining Chelsea. So in my view, definitely MORE of a Chelsea youth product instead of Arsenal.

And capitalizing on Chelsea youth is what this new administration is good at. While stockpiling youth from other clubs at fees disproportionate to their performances.

Alvarez for 50 mil. Shouldn’t pay more. Not a starter. Doesn’t lead the line. Great potential.

I doubt that gets it done though.

Agree with this. He's a good player but won't break the bank for him considering its clear we have to do some accounting gymnastics to make our signings.

We have Nkunku who's a similar forward too. Would prioritise a leading #9

"accounting gymnastics" 😆

Essentially, if we don't sell our academy products for decent money, we're screwed (that's why I see Gallagher being sold as I don't think Chalobah or Broja will get that much in transfer fees).

Again he spent 4 years with the club and was released - he then received a footballing education in his formative years with Arsenal 8 years as an Arsenal academy player where he earned his footballing education. If that is the case you can say he also came through at Charlton Athletic.

While transfer front seems quiet atm, just out of interest, what would you guys think of the following free agents:

CB: Hermoso, Varane or Matip

loads of CL experience, possible mentor role as the senior cbs in the squad, but somewhat washed up. Maybe good enough when managed and motivated correctly?

ST: Memphis, Martial, Iheanacho or Chris wood

PL proven, technical quality, still in their best years ish, reputation a bit patchy but maybe useful backups that add sth different to Jackson?

Anyone know why was Olise let go at Chelsea? The talent is remarkable.

The midfielder joined Chelsea in 2009 and left in 2016, which Conlon described as 'mutual consent' between the two parties.
