Not sure if either works for us. Slow very technical flair players tend to at struggle in PL. you d rather want someone who is not always 100% clean but has pace to burn. 1 hour ago, lucio said: just watching a wirtz video now and i have to say that Patrick Schick looks like an amazing striker Always liked him. He is a warrior. Remember him scoring twice and turning the game just after breaking his nose in a duel. But he has recurring injury problems which make him miss a lot of games. Pizy 18,957
Wirtz does indeed look like a special player from a technical POV. If Poch decided to play with 3 in midfield I’d very happily have him in that advanced midfield role. He looks much better to my eyes than Gabri Veiga. lucio
Cosmin 2,484
Another young German talent from Leverkusen? No, thank you. I’d rather have Veiga. Edited July 1, 2023 by Cosmin Vesper and ltblue 1
ZAPHOD2319 4,819
Those that keep questioning all these youth players need to understand our owners are Baseball guys. Each major league teams has several minor league teams. The Dodgers have seven minor league teams. They buy up these 17 - 19 year olds. Put them in their minor league teams and give them 2-3 years. If they keep developing, they get a call up to the Dodgers. If their development is not explosive, they sell them for still a very nice profit. I believe this is the model they are putting in place with Chelsea. It is geared for Chelsea to get the cream of the crop and make lots of money on youth players being sold. It is a very cold blooded system. It really is not what club football was twenty years ago where a club embraces a player for their career. Thor 2,728
We need some pace and strength in midfield as well. Veiga at least gives us that. Enzo and Wirtz is too lightweight and slow, even with Caceido there.

Artandur 939
Still no concrete Caicedo news this week is strange to me. Hoping for a here we go out of nowhere at this point Cosmin

He is not blistering fast but has above average acceleration and is nimble af. Wirtz and Chekri are not quite his level of agility or ball control. Pizy 18,957
Wirtz doesn’t look that slow to me. Just kinda average. Cherki on the other hand does looks super slow and kinda chubby as well. bluesman2610 and kexik
lluubbeenn 175
We need 2 or 3 players to close the squad for next season, but the narrative we have sold our squad and replaced them with nothing is stupid. We have Colwill, Gusto, Nkunku and Jackson already in and probably Santos staying too. If we get Caicedo and another mid this is a brilliant transfer window. kexik

Our whole project is over if Enzo gets injured atm. Vesper
