'All eyes on Saul now'

How on earth does Saul affect CHO in any way? They don't even play in any of the same positions.

In the attacking places there's already Lukaku, Havertz, Werner, Mount, Ziyech and Pulisic so six players for three positions, which is already ideal for rotation and CHO leaving wouldn't change that. Callum going on loan would only really affect RWB because we'd have less cover in there. Even that wouldn't be a problem if Kounde were to be signed because James/Azpi could easily handle the RWB spot together but without Kounde the team is lacking one player in CB/RWB.

Saul could play as a WB, maybe that was what Max means.

He's played wing-back for Atletico before but as far as I know it's always been on the left.

He's a left-footed player so playing RWB could be problematic. Not totally impossible but not definitely not ideal.

"All eyes on Saul" i think maybe because if we can get Saul then the chances of having to play Mount as a CM would be small but if we dont get Saul there is a bigger chance that we might need to thus making us keep CHO as backup AMF. You never know, its a long season.

Rice isn’t nearly good enough to justify playing this season with a weakened midfield

It's not just 'waiting for Rice' but also the difficulty of getting a player of real quality in with three top central midfielders already in the team, two of whom are tipped to be within top 5 of the Ballon d'Or this year. Convincing a top prospect like Tchouameni, Camavinga or an already established player like Saul to come in and play 4th choice in midfield surely can't be easy when they can just wait till next year and sign for some other top team who will immediately make them starters (at least the first two names). Any of those three could usurp Kovacic for the 3rd midfielder and end up getting decent minutes, but I don't see a case for any of them to get past Jorginho or Kante.

If one of those three can't be signed, there's very little point in signing anyone because that's how the club ended up with players like Drinkwater and Barkley in the first place.

I know it probably sounds spoiled, entitled, and negative but United finishes ahead of us last season comfortably and have added 3 world class players that go straight into their first XI. And they might not be done yet as they could still sign a midfielder which is the last piece of their puzzle.

How can we possibly only sign 1 player? Especially when Tuchel himself has confirmed multiple times in press conferences that there are a couple of areas he wanted to strengthen.

FALSE FALSE FALSE...

27 August 2021

Sevilla awaits the 'real' offer for Koundé

The first approach of 50 million was not even considered and with the sale of Zouma the final one should arrive today.

Because a first proposal came to Sevilla on Wednesday night for 50 million. Even less than what Manchester City offered a year ago (55 plus Otamendi). A proposal that was not even considered by the Andalusian managers, aware of the value of the French international, again summoned by Deschamps for the qualifying matches for the Qatar World Cup. It must be remembered that Girondins, the club that formed it and from where it left for Sevilla for 20 + 5 million in 2019, will keep 15% of the capital gain generated from its sale. In Nervión they would give the green light to any offer that reaches the 70 million barrier. Nobody is going to castle in the 90 that now marks the clause, in the last two weeks of the market. Although if the offer arrived on August 30 or 31, it is the only position that would be left to the Sevillans.

This is the reality.

1. previous squads were not as good as this 2. I prefer the policy of adding elite players or using in-house options.

No real need to get into the market for a Lacroix or Sule.

Explain the lies that were counted for a few weeks that were spoken in agreement. Something that was always false. And grace for your triumphs. We are a smaller club. But we also celebrate some titles despite not having Russian money behind. We are more humble but we have dignity.

Fuck you

Get the fuck off our board

Shame he can't reciprocate that dignity that their club apparently has 😂

Coming on here basically demanding more money as if he's a representative of their club.  Bellend.

All your posts are the same, should of called your self deja vu.

They are so duncey that they post an article, that other than the lie that we offered only £42m and insinuated we insulted Sevilla, THEN actually does confirm the money amounts that all the reliable Chels journos are saying. They fucking moved the goal posts from €70m to €85m which is £12.8m more, what all the reliable journos said.

I do not think he is linking the two. Just saying that Saul is the other deal to watch.
