FC Santos have returned striker Deivid Washington to Chelsea. The young player, who was on loan until the end of the season, has been released by Peixe and will return to England in the coming days.

Unfortunately, our 1. Scouting session in Brazil was not a great success under the new staff From summer 2022:

David Washington not good enough

Angelo not good enough

Andrey Santos Fantastic Winstanley Masterclass💪

Estevao Masterclass Transfer

Denner Evangelista arrives new in summer 2026

Pedro Lima luckily missed

Gabriel Moscardo luckily missed

Matheus França luckily missed

Lucas Beraldo I would have liked to have him with us as a Colwill replacement

Vitor Roque lucky missed

Kaiky lucky missed

Endrick hmm unfortunately also just missed

Luis Guilherme lucky missed

William Gomes

Gustavo Nunes lucky missed

Wesley lucky missed

Vitor Reis

Bento

Wesley

Robert Renan

Jefté

JP Chermont

Gabriel Mec

Angelo Candido will transfer in 2026 to Strassbourg

We've been linked with all these Brazilians from the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, we were close to signing a lot of them, signed a few and lost out on a few to other teams.

Santos and Estevao make it amazing. Angelo was sold for profit without even playing here. Mentioning all the players we didn't even sign to call out recruitment? 😆 way better than under Roman with Kenedy, Nathan, Wallace...

We didn't miss Endrick, he decided to sign for Madrid over us. If he struggles to get a first team place I still think that there may be a deal to be done with him.

According to Uli Hoeneß who is a board member at FC Bayern. Jackson’s loan only becomes an obligation at Bayern “if he PLAYS 40 games from the START.” 😳

Additionally he claims Jackson’s agent paid €3m of the loan fee. [@iMiaSanMia]

This isn't surprising, why would Bayern agree to such a high obligation fee without favourable terms.

Roman had Oscar, Ramires and Willian

They make up for some of those 'dodgy' signings 😆

We spoke about scouting in Brazil. Willian and Ramires were already in Europe.

It was well reported back in the day that we backed off the deal because of price. Looks good decision tbh

Pedro is starter now in Brazil

Sterling needs to be banned from all Chelsea property. He is refusing a buyout (I do NOT want to pay him anything remotely close to the £34m he will earn and let him walk now) and also he is refusing all transfers unless it's a London club and he gets his full current salary, which will likely never happen.

Just freeze him out for the next 2 years. Further reduce his career.

What a shitshow. What a horrid buy, what a horrid decision to pay the plonker £85m in salary. One of the worst transfers in EPL history.

The problem, of course, is that none of this is Sterling's fault. Many of us were furious when he was linked, and apoplectic when he was signed. He should not have been recruited. Not even as a free transfer on a trialist contract. The people, or person, who made the sporting and financial decisions is/are to blame.

The bad decisions aren't limited to the ones which were made when Raheem joined from City. No doubt there was some Club who made us an exploitative offer to take the player on loan this summer. Something like no loan fee, and Chelsea cover 80%, or more, of his wages. If it was made such an offer should have been accepted.

In the absence of any kind of move for Sterling we are stuck with implied contractual obligations to provide him with top level training facilities and opportunities. This necessarily includes professional grade players to practice with and against. If we made the emotionally satisfying decision to ban him from Cobham we'd run the risk of being sued.

I didn't say do not pay him. We have to. But I see no reason for him to be around the club facilities.

I also, if the only buy-out the he will accept is 100 per cent of what we owe him (and the prick could then 'double dip' on his pay packet for the next 2 years, as his new club would also pay him a salary), then I say just let him rot until July 2027.

I blame Boehly from the start for signing him for insane money (given his age and decline) and salary

I also fully admit (always did) that we are contractually obligated to pay Sterling

but there is nothing irrational about keeping him away from the rest of the team
