Thing about Fermin is that he’d likely be in the same sort of situation here as he is at Barca. Someone who gets decent minutes but isn’t a starter. So in that case why leave your boyhood dream club?

This is why I’m thinking the link is a pressure tactic to get Leipzig to soften their demands. Perhaps we also need Xavi to push more forcefully as well.

Could end up loaning garnacho with a deal similar to sanchos loan...

You think United would agree to get scammed like that again? 🤣

They’re run by idiots but surely they aren’t that stupid!

I’m reading Fermin is very much like a second striker.

He plays very similarly to Xavi Simons to my eye. Likes to be heavily in the mix in that #10 area. Excellent technically and great in tight areas as you’d expect with a Barca product.

If we weren’t after Simons you can absolutely see why we’d be interested in Fermin. He perfectly fits the profile. But for me Xavi is slightly better and I think suits moving to the PL easier.

Guardian reporting that there is a higher desire for us to bring in a winger than Simons, Nkunku needs to find a buyer or he stays as a 10

So as it stands it's going to be Garnacho in, Nkunku staying and no Simons deal at all

Shocked…

Imagine having LW your top priority after spending a fortune on Gittens

I can understand we might need cover for him but if we're genuinely disturbed that we don't have a good enough starting LW option then we have made a fatal error and someone needs the sack

If it comes to it, will we leave aside Garnacho and sign only Simons ?

Since we might only be loaning Nkunku and Jackson

Looks like the opposite is happening. 🤦‍♂️

Garnacho is the priority rather than Xavi.

Was an easy avoid this summer.

We don’t have the bandwidth for another young project in a starting role

and signing him is sending George, a talented youngster, out of the club too

I love how they wasted 55m on Gittens and the news now is the priority is a winger. Top class scouting and squad assembling.
