We outplayed them both games. Bastards were lucky to get the first one.

We probably outplayed them, but we were still poor in many areas, not just lacking clinical finishing,
but also not as threatening as we were when we faced PSG a few days ago

And when we go up against other big teams last season, we tend to play even worse.
Hopefully, we can manage it better in the upcoming season

Against the big teams you don’t just need quality, which we definitely have, you also need confidence and belief. You can’t have that when you barely know your teammates. This win against Psg will help a lot. I think we will have both good and bad periods throughout the season, but really hope to get more points of city, arsenal and liverpool, as well as them 3 points at Old Trafford. KTBFFH!

Ajax sold Jurriën Timber, a very similar player to Hato (Timber is right footed and plays RB and CB, Hato is left footed and plays LB and CB) to Arse for £34 million + £4.5m in add-ons (£38.5m in toto), so £40m to £50m, (split the difference and say £45m) is a fair price. £60m is fucking extortion as that is a full £21.5m MORE for Hato than Timber. £50m is the absolute max we should go.

wouldnt be surprised if he will be better than ekitike

the big issue with Wissa is he turns 29yo in 6 and a half weeks, on September 3rd, so no truly long term future there, once you get past the next 3 seasons or so, his resale value will drop like a rock

oh HELL NO

What happened to him at Bayern? I remember they badly wanted him and did a lot to sign him.

Anyway, I get the feeling that we won’t be seeing any incomings for a while. Doesn’t seem as though we’re aggressively pursuing anyone at the moment. No hot rumors or links, just kind of a rehashing of names we have been loosely interested in before the window even opened.

Seems to be full focus on outgoings for the time being.

Still no Madueke announcement, but with his sale and Petrovic there is 70 odd million.

One more attacker, but not Garnacho

The Madueke thing is weird. Supposedly everything was signed between the clubs on Monday and still no announcement.

Is Arse waiting for Gyokeres to get done so they can soften the blow for their supporters?

I feel like Rogers is probably completely unobtainable this summer. Villa are having a piss poor summer window as it stands and if they were to sell their new star talent their supporters would revolt. Especially as a club which has ambitions of breaking into the UCL places, you don’t do so by weakening yourself and strengthening a club that you’re competing with for those places.

If he has a real breakout season and develops even further then I suspect Villa will be demanding Grealish money for him this time next year.
