King Kante 1,643
5 hours ago, Vesper said: Aston Villa have reportedly decided against signing Axel Disasi on a permanent basis, with the French centre-back now expected to return to Chelsea at the conclusion of his loan spell. https://www.caughtoffside.com/2025/05/11/aston-villa-make-axel-disasi-decision/ According to The Athletic, the initial loan agreement between the two Premier League clubs did not include a purchase option, signaling a short-term stint for Disasi at Villa Park. Villa secured Disasi’s services from Chelsea for a £5 million loan fee with hopes that he would add depth and stability to Unai Emery’s defense. Despite the investment, Disasi struggled to cement his place in the starting line-up, with his recent omission from the squad against Fulham highlighting his limited role. Axel Disasi has no future at Aston Villa While there was initial optimism that strong performances might lead to a permanent deal, Disasi’s time at Villa Park has been largely underwhelming. Disasi’s return to Chelsea, however, is expected to be brief. Reports suggest that the Frenchman has been deemed surplus to requirements by manager Enzo Maresca. Chelsea are keen to strengthen their squad and generate funds for summer signings, with Disasi now on the list of potential departures. No one in there right mind would've taken him on loan. Cannot expect them to actually buy him.

(@Oliveira32Pablo) Ruben Amorim and Manchester United executives are ALIGNED on trying to bring Cunha to Old Trafford.(@lauriewhitwell) Liverpool are particularly keen on Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt. (@BILD) Ekitike at Liverpool and Gyökeres at Arsenal would both be great fit imo.. Arsenal may buy Zubimendi fir more midfield depth, but lack of quality/availability upfront costed their season. Ekitike will have good time there aswell. I like him very much since PSG, but would not fit here. mkh
ZAPHOD2319 4,848
A lot of talk last month about us getting players signed early for the Club World Cup. We haven’t done anything. We are the old Brighton. Special Juan 28,323
Those two clowns and owners aren't in any rush what so ever....All the top targets will be gone in the coming weeks with all the pro active clubs getting stuff signed and sealed while we sit and wait for the cheap players to come along and barter over 1-2 million and eventually lose out Also sounds like Huijsen is off to either Arsenal or Liverpool as both in pole position for him OneMoSalah

Nobody went for Osimhen even when his price kept dropping and nobody is linked with him now when everyone's going for strikers. His wages are not worth it. Special Juan 28,323
All the deals for the big boys will be getting done and sorted behind the scenes the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, City etc all being quick off the mark. We will still being going through the identifying stage and weighing up costs and structures, the rest are striking like a python. I can honestly see us not getting a 9 this summer and them continuing with Jackson and Guiu bigbluewillie
MoroccanBlue 5,392
Who was it that reported Feb 1 that even though we didn’t sign anyone in January where we desperately needed another CM & ST, the directors “did the ground work” for summer deals before the Club World Cup? Strike 7,614
Completely changes our CB plans. Huijsen was the one CB with a reasonable fee I would have loved signing. Ornstein named these 5 players last month and I am not sure I'd love any of them honestly
