Is he actually good? Are we missing out on a top player or is he really rough and if all comes right, he will be an OK player? If it is the latter, then don't feel too sorry as we don't need another player like that. If it is the former be pissed and feel sorry for him.

and with felix, he will demand a high salary while not being a starter. we can barely get rid of lukaku and sterling who have big salaries and now we want to bring in a player who does not strenghts our starting eleven. can already see him bitching and pounting while playing. we need a reliable striker not the 15th attacking midfielder.

So basically Omorodion deal collapsed for some reason and Atletico needs money desperately because of Gallagher and Alvarez deals and we kind of owe them so we just need to take someone else from their squad and Felix obviously is the first one to appear since they are selling him for 2 years unsuccessfully. Looks like we are doing a favor here to Atletico and Mendes more than we actually want him.

I think all the moves we have seen lately and Mudryk’s preseason point to him leaving. I was really excited when he got here, but he has not advanced at all

The skill is there with Felix, it is more the commitment and desire with him. He is one of those players that could be excellent but is happy to coast as a 'good player' as it is easier and less hassle. 

This said, he is still only 24 so it could be he is late to mature and then steps up. For me, he is an OK signing as he is better than Sterling and Mudryk (who we could hopefully shift - although I am doubtfu) - however, he must notwreck the wage structure as I could see that causing a disaster.
