As promising as Guiu has looked in preseason, why are we now going to bring in someone with the same profile? A young, raw, powerful #9 who is still a couple of years away from being the finished article.

It’s just fucking baffling. And I think this is 100% the club who are obsessed with him rather than Maresca. They see him exactly as they do with the other wonderkids we’ve bought. A guy who will become a £100m player down the road.

The problem is WE NEED A FINISHED ARTICLE STRIKER NOW, not 2-3 years from now.

I've seen younger players (U-18 to U-20) leave on free transfers but don't recall many senior professionals doing it unless there was serious bad blood with the club.

Unless Alvarez has straight up told us that he isn’t interested in coming here and want to play in sunny, warm Spain it is criminal that we may very well buy Omorodion from Atleti whilst financing their move for the guy we should be after ourselves.

At €20m, he is worth a punt. Most all LW options are now, or soon will be, off the table. Gutted that we will almost for sure miss out on Désiré Doué.

Villa have turned down all offers for Morgan Rogers. Juve have refused us multiple times now for Kenan Yıldız (LOVE him). Antonio Nusa seems to have chronic injuries, and a hard pass on Grealish and Sancho (insane salary demands as well).

Besides Chiesa, Amine Adli, Ferran Torres, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, and Amine Gouiri are the main other LW options left, as the only truly big names for right footers (and this time I will include some who play more at AMF as well, but can play LW) still on the table are all so expensive and/or have huge salary demands:

Makes no sense. Would suggest Guiu would have to go out on loan, I take it? Otherwise we go from having not enough strikers to too many.

Why not just forget Omorodion, keep Guiu here with the first team to learn and get valuable minutes here and there, and get Osimhen as our main man…
