Can I be a nobody whom someone pays around £200m (counting salary) for?

Need to become a football player or some social media celebrity I guess. Crazy prices, especially given a lot of world's economy isn't actually booming and the cost-of-life crisis is real in pretty much all of "western" world. Wonder when we will see first big name club go under, Barcelona was quite close recently. Just imagine Saudis deciding PSG or City is no longer needed for them.

So if we get Lavia AND Caceido - what does our starting line up look like in terms of best 11?

I just don't see both happening, there's no way Liverpool would allow us to get away with both players.

Would have made more sense to wrap up the Caicedo deal and go for Adams as the squad midfielder.

As it stands anyway

Such a shame that our attack is once again mid table standard (with Nkunku out for 3+ months) 😆

Rest of the team could compete for a top 6 place.

I disagree.

Our lack of attack was in large part due to the middle of the pitch and not being able to build up properly.

We have plenty of talent - it is just hard as fans to imagine a turn around after the struggle we had last season. We will be competing for top 4 easily.

If (and at the moment it’s still a big IF) we sign both Caicedo AND Lavia, the only real area of our best XI you can look at and immediately say we could use an upgrade is on the right wing. But even that sounds a bit harsh before we’ve seen what Madueke and Sterling can do with a proper structure behind them in midfield. Of course Sterling looked like dogshit all preseason but what’s to say he won’t look great again with a rock solid midfield 3 behind him?

I’d be pretty surprised if we dip into the market for a RW after the money we could be about the spend in midfield. If any further attacker is brought in I’m betting it’s a striker to rotate with Nico Jackson.

3 weeks (technically 20 days) left in the window.

Kudus can play AMF, RW, SS, CF, and LW

Did not Adams fail the physical?

I’d love him. But in a season without Europe I’m not sure how practical it would be to have Kudus, Sterling and Madueke as options for that spot.

If we can’t pull the Lavia signing off then I’d 100% bring in Kudus to play in the advanced midfield role.
