Even more so, if Potter ends up staying on beyond this season - I think Havertz and Chilwell will both get offered long term extensions in the summer. Not only that - they are buying with a clear picture/vision in mind. Pace up front is clearly being targeted. We have strong defenders with pace at the back. Great technical full backs now. He’s one of the best midfielders in the league when in form and someone you want in the XI in the biggest games. Mount on the other hand is harder to justify paying the massive salary demand. With Nkunku, Havertz, and potentially Felix staying who can all play behind the new striker we buy, where does Mase fit going forward?
