Or you could give €70m to Inter for world class CB.

it is insane

we could get a top 4 CB on the planet for the same we just paid for Cucu (maybe even less if 70m euros gets Skriniar, as Cucu was €74m)

and one who is NEVER injured, play all games for years (unlike Fofana)

and NOTHING, no links even though PSG has cocked it up so far

Inter Milan's transfer failings this summer have left the club in a £33MILLION hole following the termination of Alexis Sanchez's contract... with Denzel Dumfries, Milan Skriniar and Edin Dzeko 'sad' with the San Siro limbo

Cancelling Alexis Sanchez's contract cost Inter 80 per cent of his final salary
Inter missed out on top targets this summer Gleison Bremer and Paulo Dybala
Denzel Dumfries 'sad' he's not seen as irreplaceable by the club after great year
Milan Skriniar would like future resolved after Inter priced him out of PSG move
Edin Dzeko realises he'll be playing second-fiddle to returning Romelu Lukaku

https://metro.co.uk/2022/08/06/benjamin-sesko-makes-decision-over-Chelsea-and-man-united-transfer-17139436/

Sky Sport Austria, though, are now reporting that Sesko has decided that he wishes to stay at Salzburg for the 2022-23 season despite the interest from Chelsea, United and Newcastle.

‘Benjamin Sesko wants to stay in Salzburg for another year so that he can make the leap like Erling Haaland,’ Sky Sport Austria reporter Marko Stankovic said.

‘That’s Sesko’s plan. Next year we will talk about a really good transfer.’

Haaland destroyed West Ham today.
I never understood why we lost this player.
Last summer ok, Dortmund were not letting him go, but this summer why were we beaten hands down by Pep ?
Was Haaland so inamorato with City ?
I read somewhere that ... Chelsea scouts suggested he was going to flop in the premier.
In what state were those scouts ?  Drunk and incapable ?

Once he spoke with Pep and City’s hierarchy gave the green light there’s no way he was ever going to come here. We got lucky that the City board said no to going big on Cucurella despite Pep wanting him.

Haaland was always going to go to a well oiled machine of a side as his post Dortmund move. Not a side in transition like us. If it wasn’t City it would have been Bayern.

the same fools who said Rice and Mbappe were not good enough, and agreed with that cunt Mou that De Bruyne should be sold with no buyback, same for Salah, that neither were Chels EPL quality at end of the day

look at those names

Håland Best CF on planet VERY soon, almost for sure next season (as soon as Benz (35yo in a few months) and Lewa (34yo in 14 days) wind down)

Mbappe Best LW on planet by a mile, probably best overall player

De Bruyne Best AMF on planet by a mile, I will never forgive the sale with no buyback, NEVER

Salah Best RW on planet by a mile (very few truly WC RWers out there, Chiesa, who is injured is probably 2nd, and Raphinha has the potential to be 3rd, Pessi is pretty rinsed, other than one giant last push to win WC finally in December)

Rice 2nd Best DMF on planet after Kimmich now IMHO (but two different styles, Kimmich is not a cruncher)

City announced Haaland before our new owners were even confirmed so even if we hadn't signed Lukaku and tried laying groundwork for Haaland it would have been scuppered by the sanctions. Fair play to City they took full advantage of the situation.

Real Madrid, for sure, Benz is soon 35yo and even he is going to not maintain current level for that long

plus, Håland and Mbappe will both end up at Real someday (within the next 3 or 4 years max is my prediction)

no, we are talking about summer 2021, before Putin fucked the world (and of course us more than any other major sports team on planet)

But if club could get fontana, and able to replace jorginho with better player. it means we will have very strong personnel when it comes to defence (thiago, koulibally, fontana, james, cucurella, chilwell + proper dm) sometimes i even thinking, even with crazy manager like bielsa, probably our defence just gonna be fine

While manager like bielsa, in the other hand, probably he able to coach and develop much better attacking cohesive unit.
Something that tuchel incapable to convince us even for almost 2 year in here. Our attacking play in too many matches is still really dross, seeing our team only able to create chances from wingbacks is sad

You want Bielsa instead of Tuchel because you think our defense will be fine by just having quality players?

I guess you've forgotten how Lampards Chelsea leaked 4 to 5 goals a game with the same defense Tuchel inherited.

Or how Bielsa's Leeds leaked goals for fun.

So ironic that in 2021 we ended up paying twice the amount that City signed Haaland for, to get Lukaku.

Still find it weird that we never even took a stab at Skriniar.

Is it because of his age? Maybe Tuchel wanted one really young CB since we have Koulibaly and Silva. Or just his playing style.
