So €60M now or €45M next year. I'm really not as convinced as you that they would jump at the chance to sell so close to the new season for €15M more. He was available for €60M all summer but no takers, so he committed till at least next year. I'm convinced they would sell since that was their original intention. The reason they gave him a new contract with a lower release clause was to get some money rather than let him walk for free next season. I didn't even follow him but constantly would see his pointless tweets basically just repeating Chelsea related headlines that he read. Chelsea are seriously considering him as an option but Thiago wants some days more to decide his next club. He’s focused on the final then he’ll choose. So long as he is protected by the midfield in front of him his deteriorating athleticism could be masked. We can go big on a world class CB next summer. He is already 28 tho. With him Rennes finished 3rd last season btw so maybe we should trust lollichon on this one.
