will not shock me at all if we do nothing this window as it stands

we are already basically one third of the way through the window

and will not be surprised if we cock up some sales to boot

I see real hatred toward doing business with Inter because of Conte

Roman and Marina have been made fools of in the press for days over the insane money we tossed out over his sacking

you know that shite PISSES them off

combine that with the massive loss we took for the fiscal year

only rumour I trust atm is this Dembele attempt (Lampard really does want him) and I see Lyon playing super hardball to the point we just wait till summer unless they back down

if we truly wanted Ake, he is right there for the taking right now, IF you really rated a player you would never hesitate to get the deal done and get him into the family fold ASAP

I am not sure I even believe we are making a move for Issa Diop, but no chance West Ham sell him for only £40m, that is so under-market for one of the few young decent EPL-proven centre backs out there

the only CB's under 25yo worth more than £25m in the entire EPL are Caglar Söyüncü, Joe Gomez (HG), Davinson Sánchez, AC (HG), Tomori (HG), Diop, and Ake (HG) (and he turns 25 in 5 weeks) Maybe, maybe Jan Bednarek,  Eric García (only 19yo and also HG) at Shitty maybe soon (I think he is a key for Pep not buying a CB atm) That is it. In the Championship maybe Ben White, and no one else is close.

PIA PRESSURE

Tottenham agree £28m transfer deal with AC Milan for Krzysztof Piatek with skipper Harry Kane out injured until April

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/10708648/tottenham-transfer-news-piatek-ac-milan-harry-kane-injury/

TOTTENHAM have agreed a deal worth £28million for AC Milan forward Krzysztof Piatek.

The Polish striker, 24, is set to sign a 3½-year contract and scheduled to complete a medical in the next 48 hours.

Jose Mourinho’s North Londoners will pay an initial fee of £23.8m — with a further £4.2m to come in add-ons.

Spurs will be without star goalscorer Harry Kane until April after confirming the England skipper needs to go under the knife to fix his hamstring injury.

Kane limped out of Tottenham's clash with Southampton clutching his left leg and is racing to be fit for Euro 2020 with a ruptured tendon.

SunSport exclusively revealed yesterday that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy was desperate to bring in a new striker and planned to hold talks over Piatek.

Aston Villa, Newcastle and Crystal Palace were interested but Spurs are in pole position to land the ace, who is keen to stay at a big club.

Piatek joined from Genoa for £30m a year ago, yet has just four goals this season.

Wolves striker Patrick Cutrone lands in Italy to seal Fiorentina transfer

Cutrone poised to join Fiorentina on loan for £1.5m with £13.5m deal to become permanent next year - and it means any interest in Raul Jimenez is likely to be rebuffed

I would take Lemar on loan with a option to buy as a replacement for Pedro in the short term and if we need to sign someone in the summer it wouldn’t stop as from doing so.

The only thing that would remotely justify Lemar is if it's for extra short term squad depth as we've been told Sancho is avalible but not until the summer.

Anything else and we're being had.

Not necessarily because Lampard obviously doesn't think we need 3 strikers because Giroud never got a look in and only Bats and Tammy were used.  So I'd guess he maybe thinks we can get by with 2

Batshuayi might as well be a ghost at this point because Lampard clearly doesn't trust him and he hasn't done enough to suggest he can be trusted either. We're practically one Abraham injury away from Lampard going with the False 9 again.

We wouldn't be seeing so many stories about Dembele or links with other strikers if Lampard's okay with just Abraham and Batshuayi for the rest of the season. And Lampard suggested last week that Giroud will only be allowed to leave if if it works for him and the squad.

Why on Earth are we not linked with Hakim Ziyech. He's like Messi in comparison to these other crap players we've been linked with in past days

The fact that no big clubs are even linked with him maybe suggests he's not very good for the highest level.

This. Should be considered even if it is in the summer tbh

If we're going for Sancho this summer, then Ziyech makes no sense whatsoever.

Yes. Sancho should be the main target

Well Sancho is available in the summer he just might not sign for us.

In: Ake, Lemar(loan), Dembele.

Out: Christensen, Pedro, Giroud and Michy probably.

Is this good transfer window?

I would be positive because these transactions clearly would mean we are after Sancho and Chilwell in the summer. And also we would upgrade a little bit and refresh squad.

I wonder how many adamant we should have "fully backed him" still hold that view.

With every signing at Inter it becomes more and more obvious he was a bigger driver to the 2017 horror window than people like to admit. Keeping him and giving him another window would have set us back years.

Not really. He wanted ox and Lukaku. He got Morata and Zappacosta. I fully supported Bakayoko signing because it made sense for us. Drinkwater was because we need British midfielder.

Atletico won't loan us Lemar unless there is a must buy clause. Why do we need ake?

Doesn't matter if they were plan A or plan Ds, they were clearly his idea.

If they were getting forced on him do you really think he would have given Bakayoko and Morata the chances they got?

Because our defence has more holes than sieve.

Although I'm not a massive fan of Ake and think game time for Tomori would be preferable.

I don't think he is forced to take Morata and Bakayoko. I am pretty sure Bakayoko was his first choice. TBF, it made sense. Two mobile destroyer sounds really2 perfect for 343.

Morata on the other hand, is plan B. Conte wanted a true no 9 because he had problem wity Costa. Honestly not sure who else was available at that time, even we have problem finding no 9 right now. I also don't think any big team has signed an all arounder no 9 since then.

You just answered why we don't need ake. Unless you think ake is wc then we don't need ake.

Christensen out Ake in makes sense.

Chris just like Rudiger and Zouma prefers RCB position. Only Tomori prefers to play on the left just like Ake who is also left footed and can play LB too. More physical defender on the right Rudi-Zouma and more technical on the left side Tomori-Ake. Makes sense.
