Agreed I think with the offense we have, we should be able to at least grind out a 1 nill here and there. But can only be done once the team has confidence that they have a monstrous defense that will hold them through the entire game. 

I much rather waste all of our 150 million in trying to fix the defense then anything else.

The back line is crap. The defensive coaching is also crap. Just look at how stupidly open we were against Southampton in turnover situations. The players looked like they were just going forward without any sort of tactical instruction.

It is not only the players, look what Leicester are doing with their material.

Since Lamps will stay, I‘d suggest: sell the whole back 4, buy a complete new back 4 + Sancho

It would be the same for any other player we want, they will have one bad game, like Gaya and Grimaldo and anyone else. It will never be perfect.

I was also all in for Chilwell but maybe it's better to get that guy from Porto for probably 40m less and invest in other areas. He has impressive stats and also big plus he would be available in January unlike Chilwell. I mean, what can we lose? Sell Emerson to Juventus and buy Telles.

as Leicester said £80m and Alex Telles RC is £33m

Werner and Sancho are out of the question for January. Just no way it'll happen. 

Telles is a possibility. But now we are struggling in the final third. We have far too many issues to tackle in January alone.

We stuggles because we are losing. It becomes harder. 

The players lose motivation. 

So yest best to spend money in jan to upgrade the defense. 

If we can sell Alonso and get Telles, i'll take it. That's an upgrade and Alson sell will offset the cost of Telles

Telles and Emerson are good for now, and in the summer sell Emerson and get Gaya or Chilwell. 

For CB easy option is Ake and sell AC as AC might offset the cost of buying Ake. In the summer sell Zouma and go for the Gimenez, Konate, Romagnoli etc etc.

Grimaldo is 60m euros

Telles has 50 assists in the past 3.5 years

Theo Hernandez might be an option, but he just went to his dream club, Milan, and turned down far better clubs to do so

RM would include Sergio Reguilón in Kante deal, but will try and pawn off Isco or Bale or James or some other non star with him, and will really balk at including Varane

Kante is being being misplayed and is a square-peg-round-hole 120m luxury player who is a DMF and not a CMF

we are going to fuck up the team every year he is here IF we refuse to use him as a destroyer and forget this forward-play tosh

agree on all, including selling Zouma

except, the end part I must clarify

Romagnoli now has Mino Raiola for an agent, so is off the board for us, which FUCKING SUXXXXX 

Gimenez has a 120m euro release clause now, so is off the board, and has not been so good thsi year after Godin left

Rúben Dias now has a 100m euro RC, which is madness

Koulibaly turns 30 in a year, so hard pass

and I have seen zero ties to Konate and us, although he would be an insane upgrade, same for his teammate, Dayot Upamecano, albeit I much prefer Konate atm

Skriniar is an option, but I doubt he comes here over others who are chasing him, same for Marquinhos

Caglar Söyüncü would be an upgrade over Zouma, and still has a huge upside

not much else out there at WC or near WC level atm
